On June 25, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Distribution Center [9# Logistics Warehouse (Phase I)] Project (hereinafter referred to as the "Logistics Warehouse Project") was held in the Logistics Zone of Nansha Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Guangzhou.

The logistics warehouse project has a total investment of about 1 billion yuan and a total construction area of about 190,700 square meters, and is expected to be completed and put into operation in mid-2026.

It is understood that the project is a provincial key construction project in 2024 and is the first five-storey high-standard comprehensive bonded logistics warehouse in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The project is adjacent to the Nansha port area of Guangzhou Port, and will rely on the development advantages of Guangzhou's international shipping hub and cross-border e-commerce industry, and plans to vigorously develop import and export logistics, international transit consolidation, cross-border import and export e-commerce, regional distribution and other businesses, create a frontier of international material interaction, radiate the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and help the high-quality development of shipping and logistics in Nansha, Guangzhou.
"As the main development, construction and operation body of the logistics park in the Nansha Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the Nansha Logistics Park Company holds most of the bonded land in the park, and has built 6 bonded logistics warehouses, with an area of nearly 400,000 square meters of warehouses under operation and management." Ying Zhenyu, chairman of Nansha Asset Group, said at the scene that all the warehouses in the park have been "full", including JD.com, Vipshop, Shein, Danone and other well-known domestic and foreign e-commerce and trade brands have bonded warehouses here. "At present, the remaining 116,800 square meters of land in the Nansha Comprehensive Bonded Zone will start construction and development today, which will fully meet the potential expansion and production capacity of surrounding customers."
Relying on the bonded policy, the logistics park of Nansha Comprehensive Bonded Zone currently provides global customers with a variety of business models such as cross-border e-commerce BBC import bonded stocking, bonded export consolidation, import distribution center, cross-border e-commerce export return package, bonded and non-bonded goods "co-warehouse co-management", and shared air transportation center in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, so as to enhance the added value of Nansha's port and shipping logistics industry and provide strong support for Nansha to build an open gateway hub.
In recent years, Nansha District has thoroughly implemented the work requirements of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government for the high-quality development of Nansha, and has made efforts to accelerate the development and construction of Nansha in an all-round way by focusing on the goal of building a major strategic platform based in the Bay Area, cooperating with Hong Kong and Macao, and facing the world.
On the occasion of the second anniversary of the release of the Nansha Plan, the start of construction of the logistics warehouse project will further improve the energy level of Nansha International Shipping and Logistics Hub, boost the in-depth implementation of the upgrading strategy of Nansha Free Trade Zone, and inject new momentum into the high-quality economic development of Nansha District.
