On June 27, in the Xinhua 1949 Cultural and Financial Innovation Industrial Park, a landmark cultural industrial park in the Exhibition Road area, Lang Lang read "poems" endlessly, and the 2024 "Exhibition Road Poetry Festival" is being held here. With the theme of "Exhibition and Exhibition, Poetry in China", this poetry festival is guided by the Propaganda Department of Xicheng District Party Committee and Xicheng District Culture and Tourism Bureau, and jointly sponsored by Exhibition Road Street and Xinhua 1949 Cultural Finance and Innovation Industrial Park. At the scene, more than 80 poetry creators, cultural communication ambassadors and poetry-loving people participated in it, setting off a cultural upsurge of reading poetry and praising the motherland through recitation, creation, performance, singing, competition and other forms.
At the beginning of the event, a series of videos of cadres and people from all walks of life in the exhibition road area reciting poems and creating poems attracted everyone's attention. It is reported that in order to warm up the first "Poetry Festival" in the exhibition road area, the street launched an online poetry creation, poetry interpretation, and poetry recitation collection activity in early June. Among them, there are cadres and workers of enterprises and institutions, troops stationed in the district, students, new employment groups, local volunteers, and community residents.
Xia Shumin, secretary of the Working Committee of Exhibition Road Street, said that Exhibition Road Street focused on the integrated development of regional cultural undertakings and cultural industries, and held the first "Exhibition Road Poetry Festival", with the original intention of using poetry as a medium to build a platform for experts, scholars and poetry lovers in the regional cultural field to display their talents, exchange and learn from each other, and incubate more attractive, influential and infectious mass cultural activities. At the same time, it will integrate rich cultural resources and create more new landmarks rich in culture, civilization vitality and cultural and tourism hotspots, such as the "cultural, commercial and tourism integration circle" and "cultural, creative and communication industry circle", so as to further promote the symbiosis of culture and the city, the sharing of life and the integration of industry, and promote the construction of regional culture to a new level.
At the event site, there was an open poetry exhibition space, which attracted many young people to come and watch. "It was the first time I participated in the poetry festival at my doorstep, and I felt the enduring charm of poetry and poetry up close. I also found that there are so many 'treasure' poetry writers around us, and even I want to try it. I hope that such events can be held frequently, so that many people can feel the strong cultural atmosphere of the exhibition road. Mr. Wang, a resident from the Xinhua East community, said.
The "Exhibition Road Poetry Festival" will last for a week, including a series of activities with the theme of "Poetry Culture", including poetry theme seminars, small poet salons, poetry selection competitions, etc. In the next step, Exhibition Road Street will further focus on the development of cultural industries and cultural undertakings, further promote the deep connection and empowerment of cultural industry parks and blocks, business districts and communities, create a cultural IP that integrates traditional culture, financial culture, consumer culture and urban renewal culture in the Exhibition Road area, and continue to create a series of brand cultural activities that are model of Exhibition Road, so as to make contributions to the construction of "Cultural Strong Zone".
