- Liverpool are 90% sure they will get the boost from Mohamed Salah in pre-season
- It is expected to travel to the United States for the preseason
The 32-year-old is a hero to millions of people in Egypt, who want him to compete in the Paris Olympics. However, Liverpool have previously blocked Salah from participating in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, and Liverpool are not obligated to allow players to participate in non-FIFA-authorised events.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the Reds are confident of keeping Salah in pre-season, while Egypt is gradually accepting that Salah will not travel to France.
Instead, Salah will be part of Ané Slot's squad plans, with Liverpool believing their enigmatic no.11 will be part of a tour of the United States, where they will play pre-season games against Real Betis, Arsenal and Manchester United.
Liverpool's new Premier League season will be away to promoted Ipswich on 11 August. The summer transfer window closes on 2 September and Liverpool appear to have managed to block Saudi Arabia's interest in Salah.
