An ambulance then took him to a local hospital for treatment. When the police intervened in the investigation, the victim said that he did not see the assailant at all, and did not even know how many people there were.
According to the report, this modus operandi is a common trick of criminals, usually targeting the wealthier Chinese or other "wealthy" people in the area. Similar incidents have occurred several times in the province of Prato.

Milan
On the afternoon of the 21st, a 29-year-old Chinese tourist was robbed by three people while walking in the area of Sforza Castle in the center of Milan.
The trio attacked the tourist from behind, grabbed his left arm, snatched the watch from his wrist and fled the scene. According to reports, the tourists were robbed of a Yacht Master Rolex watch worth about 30,000 euros.
The tourist immediately went to the nearby police station to report the incident. The local police then retrieved the surveillance footage of the area where the crime occurred and launched an investigation.
Rome
On the 23rd, a tourist and friend from Hong Kong, China, were robbed at the Termini train station in Rome.
At about 22:30 on the same day, two men committed a violent robbery against the tourist and his friends in the area of Piazza dei Cinquecento in front of the train station.
The police, who were patrolling nearby, arrived as soon as possible to take the two suspects under control. After verification, the two were 21 and 33 years old, both South American immigrants.
