Overview of the town
Caoji Town is located in the southeast of Funan County, 25 kilometers away from the county seat, is an organized town, east of Gaotai Township, west of Laoguan Township, south of Huai River, and Gushi County, Henan Province, Sanhejian Town across the river, north of Mengma River, bordering Zhonggang Town, Fumeng Farm of the Provincial Department of Agricultural Reclamation. The town covers an area of 62 square kilometers, with a population of 51,500 and 49,600 acres of cultivated land, with 4 villages, 4 neighborhood committees and 2 communities, and 35 natural villages (15 villages in the library and 20 villages along the embankment).

Caoji town is near the Huai River, located in the middle of the Mengwa flood storage reservoir in Funan County, the beautiful Huai River and the Mengma River pass around the border from the north and south respectively, there are 15.12 kilometers of Huai embankment, 1.28 kilometers of Meng Dike, and one Baozhuang Wei covering an area of 1.23 square kilometers. The seat of the town government is "Anzhougang", it is the only natural highland in the Mengwa reservoir area, with an area of 2.04 square kilometers, nearly 30,000 residents in the market town, institutions, schools, hospitals, enterprises, shopping malls, supermarkets, hotels, restaurants are lined up one after another, and the market trade radiates to the five counties of the surrounding two provinces, with prosperous business and social stability.
History
During the Three Kingdoms, Cao Ji called "Anzhougang", there were sparse villages in the territory, Sima Yi's subordinate Deng Ai had been in Dengzhai (north of Yan Weizi, now belonging to Jinghu Village) thousands of soldiers for rest and drill, the drill ground is commonly known as "racecourse". At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Cao Ji was called Cao Jia Ji, and the market began to take shape. After the liberation, Caoji was successively under the jurisdiction of the market area, Zhonggang District, and Caoji District, and in March 1992, the district was withdrawn and the township was established as Caoji Town.

Jiao Yushan
Jiao Yushan (1915-1990), a native of Jiaotai, Caoji Town, joined the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army in 1931 and joined the Communist Party of China in 1934 through Li Xiannian's introduction. In the Red Fourth Front Army, he successively served as a platoon commander, a company political instructor, a commander of the plainclothes team of the headquarters, a deputy battalion commander of a guard battalion, and a commander of a cavalry company, and participated in the Long March. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, he served as the commander of the guard company of the Eighth Route Army, the battalion commander of the independent detachment, and the deputy captain of the division teaching brigade. During his studies at Kang University in 1942, he served as the captain and director of education of the Chinese Anti-Japanese Military and Political University. During the Liberation War, he served as the deputy commander of the Northeast Democratic Alliance Army and the commander of the Northeast Field Army, and after commanding the "Tashan Sniper Battle", the regiment won the title of "Tashan Hero Regiment", and Jiao Yushan became the commander of the famous "Tashan Hero Regiment" in the whole army. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Jiao Yushan successively served as deputy director and director of the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department, deputy political commissar of the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Corps, commander of the 10th Garrison Division, commander of the Foshan Military Division, and in 1962, deputy commander of the 47th Army, deputy commander of the Guangxi Military Region, and deputy chief of staff of the Guangzhou Military Region. Jiao Yushan participated in and commanded the 1974 Xisha Yongle Islands counterattack and the 1979 self-defense counterattack against Vietnam. In 1964, he was promoted to the rank of major general. He was awarded the Order of Eighty-One of the Second Degree, the Order of Independent Muda of the Third Degree, the Order of Liberation of the Second Degree, and the Meritorious Medal of the Red Star of the First Class. He died in 1990 and his ashes were buried in Tower Hill.
Caoji Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery
Caoji Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery is located next to the west polder embankment of Caoji Street, built in 1957, covers an area of 1250 square meters, and now buries a total of 12 revolutionary martyrs martyred in the Guo Weizi tragedy, which is a patriotic education base and national defense education base that inherits the red gene.

The legend of the sister-in-law temple

Later, when my sister grew up to be in her 20s, my sister-in-law persuaded my sister-in-law to marry on a blind date, but my sister-in-law did not marry on a blind date, but persuaded my sister-in-law to remarry, and my sister-in-law refused to remarry, so they comforted each other and lived together for a lifetime. The harmonious relationship between the sister-in-law, the innocent emotions, and the sister-in-law's love for her husband are rumored to be good stories. Later, in order to commemorate the sister-in-law, the villagers built a temple where they lived, called the sister-in-law temple, and the name of this place has been used to this day.
