Heavy rain and floods are coming
How can we avoid danger safely?
Keep the practical guide away!
How to safely transfer in a flood?
1. If the flood has already arrived, use a stick to probe the road surface and stay away from telephone poles.
2. In case of emergency transfer, it is best to transfer multiple people together to avoid getting caught up in the torrent, and use ropes to connect everyone.
3. Once the water depth is waist-deep, do not continue to wade in the water, but use boats, wooden rafts, door panels, etc., to do water transfer. When there is no condition for transfer, climb to nearby high ground, rooftops, or trees, and contact rescuers in time.
4. If mobile phones and other communication devices cannot be used, you can also flash flashlights, blow whistles, shake flags, bright clothes, etc., and send out distress signals.
5. When a car stalls in a flood, abandon the vehicle and escape.
In case of emergency transfer
Please wear sneakers!
1. When a flood occurs, most people think they should wear rain boots to move, but this is wrong! Once the rain boots get into the water, they can quickly become heavy, making it difficult to walk and even falling.
2. The correct thing to do is to put on sneakers for the transfer and make sure the laces are fastened.
3. If you don't have sneakers, you can use a rope to wrap 2 to 3 times around the toe to increase the friction between the shoe and the ground to prevent slipping.
You can also apply a band-aid to the toe area of the sole of your shoe and apply proper pressure to it while walking to ensure that the band-aid does not fall off easily.
