Wuwei, also known as Liangzhou, is the first stop to enter the Hexi Corridor to the west, and has been an important town on the Silk Road since ancient times.

In 2014, the Lanxin high-speed railway was opened, allowing Zhangye, Jiayuguan, Jiuquan and other places in Hexi to enter the era of high-speed rail. The Lanzhou-Singapore high-speed railway directly enters the middle section of the Hexi Corridor from Qinghai via Xining, without passing through Wuwei. This time, the Lanwu section of the Lanzhang high-speed railway was opened, and Wuwei entered the era of high-speed rail. Early in the morning of the 29th, many Wuwei citizens spontaneously came to the square in front of Wuwei East Station to witness this historic moment.

"I'm so happy, I'll definitely come over and take a photo as a souvenir." A local crowd said excitedly to reporters. His face was full of joyful smiles.

The builders of this high-speed railway are also full of joy.

"Let's get together, let's take a picture here." Yang Linhai, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Lanwu Section of the Lanzhang High-speed Railway of the 21st Bureau of China Railway, greeted several colleagues and lined up in front of the "Copper Galloping Horse" sculpture on the square in front of the station.

In the past four and a half years, Yang Linhai and others have participated in the construction of 33.7 kilometers of lines such as the Yongdeng Bridge in the Lanwu section of the Lanzhang high-speed railway. Now, looking at the opening of this high-speed railway, they are particularly excited.

"We will also take the first train to Lanzhou in a while to feel the speed of the high-speed rail we are participating in." Yang Linhai said.

Wuwei East Railway Station is a combination of classical and modern buildings. Walking into the waiting hall of the station, whether it is the column on the wall or the bucket arch on the roof, it is full of strong Han and Tang atmosphere. The hall is equipped with a comprehensive service center, waiting area, mother and child waiting room and other areas, which can meet the waiting needs of all kinds of passengers at the same time.

Niu Juxia, director of passenger transport at Wuwei East Station, told reporters that in order to provide passengers with the best riding experience, in recent times, all the staff of the station have been refining their work and checking and filling in the gaps.

"Everyone was busy until 2 o'clock in the morning last night, and they all arrived at their posts before 7 o'clock today to carry out the final preparations before the opening of the road." Niu Juxia said.

At 10:20 a.m., as the departure time approached, the C9832 train had arrived at the designated location. The conductors of the second high-speed rail team of the Lanzhou passenger section who undertook the task of transporting this train stood by the door, smiling, waiting for the arrival of the first batch of passengers.

These conductors were selected from various teams in the Lanzhou Passenger Depot, and they are all business backbones, and they have been familiar with the business on this line since the joint commissioning and joint test of the Lanwu section of the Lanzhou-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway.

"We have all participated in training on service etiquette, emergency response, business knowledge, etc., and recently, we have been familiarizing ourselves with the station name, arrival and departure time, and the special highlights along the way, so as to welcome passengers in the best condition possible." Train conductor Li Wei said.

Long Haishan, a 27-year-old Tibetan girl, felt particularly honored to be able to undertake the transportation service of the first car. As a native of Tianzhu, she took the initiative to ask Ying to run the line of the Lanwu section of the Lanzhang high-speed railway.

"When I think of being able to serve the people in my hometown, I feel very motivated and want to contribute to my hometown through my own efforts." Long Haishan said.

In order to allow the majority of passengers to experience the strong regional characteristics and history and culture of the Hexi Corridor, the Lanzhou Passenger Depot has also carefully prepared a series of special services and performances.

"This is a specially designed schematic map of the route marked with tourist attractions and cultural features along the route; This is a photo frame that is convenient for passengers to check in; The car also prepared a commemorative folding fan for passengers, and the calligraphy and paintings on it were painted by the employees one by one; After driving for a while, we also prepared a variety of performances for passengers on the train......" Jiang Yushan, publicity assistant of Lanzhou passenger depot, told reporters.

During the conversation, the station sounded the sound of the announcement of the ticket check-in. After a while, the passengers who took the first train came to the platform one after another. Take photos in front of the train and post them to Moments, and take photos with the attendants wearing ethnic minority costumes...... Everyone had a happy smile on their faces.

At 10:50, the whistle sounded, and the C9832 train left on time and set off in the direction of Lanzhou.

The Lanwu section of the Lanzhang high-speed railway leads from Zhongchuan Airport Station in Lanzhou New Area, through Yongdeng, Tianzhu and Gulang to Wuwei City, with a total length of 193 kilometers. According to the daily line and weekend line, in the early stage of operation, the maximum number of locomotive trains will be 20 per day, and the fastest running time between Wuwei and Zhongchuan Airport will be 53 minutes.

"It's such a blessing to be on this bus to the airport." On the first bus, Ms. Liang, who was heading from Wuwei to Zhongchuan Airport Station, told reporters.

Due to work reasons, Ms. Liang often travels to Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport to catch flights. "In the past, you could only take the airport bus, which took more than 2 hours on the road, but now that the high-speed rail has opened, you can get from Wuwei to the airport in one hour, and the fare is much cheaper than the bus." She said.

The opening of the Lanwu section of the Lanzhang high-speed railway has effectively shortened the distance between Wuwei, Tianzhu and Lanzhou.

Li Xingyu, a citizen of Wuwei, told reporters that in the past, it took more than three hours to travel from Wuwei to Lanzhou, whether by ordinary speed train or by car, but now the high-speed rail is open, which is particularly fast.

"Today happens to be the weekend, take the children to Lanzhou to play, and then take the high-speed train back to Wuwei in the evening." Wuwei citizen Li Xingyu and his wife took their four-and-a-half-year-old daughter to a "day trip" by high-speed rail.

At 11:28, train C9832 arrived at Tianzhu West Station. Outside the station, the Tianzhu crowd dressed in Tibetan national costumes sang and danced to warmly welcome the arrival of the first batch of high-speed rail passengers.

"The opening of the high-speed rail not only facilitates the travel of the people in Tianzhu, but also brings huge development opportunities to our Tianzhu tourism industry." Zhang Yongtang, director of the Tianzhu County Bureau of Culture and Tourism, said that around high-speed rail tourism, Tianzhu has recently launched a number of high-quality tourism routes, and is ready to meet the tourism fever brought by high-speed rail.
