author:Famous car appreciation

Porsche has a rich history of car design to draw from, including new production models and reinterpretations like this bespoke 911 Turbo S. Porsche built the car to demonstrate the wide range of possibilities for customisation and personalisation projects at its Sonderwunsch factory, which was based on one of four special Porsche 959 models built at the end of the 80s of the 20th century.

The most striking feature of this latest one-of-a-kind Turbo S is its hand-painted exterior paint color. Porsche has an urban bamboo-green paint finish called "Chromaflair", the top layer of which contains an extremely thin layer of pigment that allows different shades of color to be seen depending on the light and viewing angle. In addition, a stripe of rock green metallic, dark green metallic and anthracite brown metallic is hand-painted on the side of the car.

Inside, Porsche's attention to detail is reflected in the hand-stitched island green cross-stitching on the dashboard and door panels. The black leather seats are inlaid with slate grey, agave green and island green trim. The Sonderwunsch logo is displayed on the centre console lid, which is also placed on the driver's rear window. Even the luggage compartment of the 911 is fully leather.

Porsche has been creating individual vehicles for its customers for decades and is constantly expanding its customisation options through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. Porsche says the number of customisation options has more than doubled today compared to 2012, with more than 1,000 additional customisation options available on all models. Now, Porsche is reimagining its Sonderwunsch project, which originated at the end of the 70s of the 20th century, with a one-of-a-kind customised service.
