He believes that the opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor will bring multiple benefits to Foshan.
Convenient transportation is the most intuitive, compared with the congested Humen Bridge, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor will make Foshan travel to and from Shenzhen, Hong Kong and more convenient, closer to the relationship between Foshan and the west bank of the Pearl River Delta and eastern Guangdong, and greatly attract talents from eastern Guangdong to Foshan for development. Economically, it will help promote Foshan, Shenzhen and Hong Kong to form closer relations and ties in the science and technology industry, economy, education, finance, offshore import and export, etc., so as to make resource docking more ideal and convenient.
At the same time, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor will also help Foshan attract relevant industries, talents and capital from the western Guangdong region and the upstream areas of the Pan-Pearl River Delta, including Guangxi, Chongqing, Sichuan and Yunnan. Not long ago, Chongqing Yingtian Industrial Group signed a strategic framework agreement with Foshan to invest 5 billion yuan in the construction of Foshan Yingtian Science and Technology Park project.
From the perspective of the hub city in western Zhuhai, the opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor will shorten the distance between Foshan and Shenzhen Airport and Hong Kong Airport, two world-class airports, plus Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, Foshan has three very close international hub airports at once, which is very beneficial to the development of Foshan, especially the introduction of talents, including the flexible introduction of foreign talents, which is very attractive; In terms of land transportation, the eastern Guangdong region, the urban agglomeration on the east bank of the Pearl River Delta and the urban agglomeration in the north of the Pearl River Delta where Foshan is located will also be more closely connected. Zeng Xiaoming believes that after the opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor, the development of Guangzhou-Foshan group should avoid homogeneous competition, form differentiated development from the automotive new energy industry, biomedicine, leisure tourism and other industries, and form an upstream and downstream industrial chain. At the same time, Foshan should integrate the think tank resources of Hong Kong and Shenzhen, seek common development together, jointly promote industrial development to a higher level, and enhance the attractiveness of external resources.
