"No, a few days ago, when we were inspecting, we found that the rainwater pipeline of Yimin Street was seriously damaged and blocked, and there was a risk of road collapse, and if it was not repaired in time, it would affect the normal drainage during the flood season." Li Wei said that during the college entrance examination, if the original pipeline needs to be removed and replaced and the road surface restored according to the normal construction process, not only the construction process is cumbersome and the construction period is long, but also brings inconvenience to residents and school students in nearby areas.

At that time, Li Wei and his colleagues were faced with two facts: the pipeline had to be repaired, but it was difficult to repair the pipeline. After many on-site inspections and studies by department leaders, it was finally decided to use the ultraviolet curing CIPP trenchless repair process for construction.

"This is our new application of technology this year, this process adopts the underground interspersed method, eliminating the links of erection, flipping, water, etc., the working surface is small and does not affect the normal passage of vehicles, compared with the traditional excavation pipe network, it has the advantages of high construction controllability, good sealing effect of lining pipe and shortening the construction period and saving construction costs." Li Wei said that a total of 200 meters of pipe network section, after the new technology was adopted, the off-peak night construction was completed, which lasted only five days.
