author:CNR

CCTV Guangzhou, July 1 News (Reporter Guan Wenqing, Trainee Reporter Wu Li) After 7 years of waiting, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel is coming on the waves. At 3 p.m. on June 30, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor was officially opened to traffic after more than 7 years of construction. In order to immerse themselves in the grand and spectacular project of the century, a reporter from CCTV drove from Guangzhou to Zhongshan on June 30 to hit the site of the opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor.

Hit the hot scene: take your children from Guangzhou to experience

At 6 p.m. on June 30, the main road leading to the Zhongshan Cuiheng East Toll Station on Ma'an Island in Cuiheng New District, the future avenue was full of traffic, and the two-kilometer-long queue of vehicles lined up here, waiting to get on the bridge. Cuiheng East Toll Station is the first station of Zhongkai Expressway to connect with Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel, and it is also the main entrance of Cuiheng New Area to access Shenzhen-Zhongshan Passage and Zhongkai Expressway.

The reporter saw at the scene that the license plates of private cars on the road came from all directions, including Hong Kong and Macao license plates, as well as vehicles from Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Zhuhai, Jiangmen and other places. Due to the large number of vehicles, there is a long queue in front of the Cuihengdong toll station, due to the long waiting time, some car owners even get off the car to rest next to the highway green belt, and some simply set up their mobile phones to start the live webcast, and the live broadcast is live.

After queuing for more than half an hour, the reporter's car finally advanced two or three hundred meters. Mr. Ruan, a citizen of Zhongshan, and several colleagues made an appointment to drive the same car to the Shenzhong Passage to drink "Tou Ji Soup". His family lives not far from the Cuihengdong toll station, and he set off with his colleagues at more than 16 o'clock that day, and he was stuck until about 18:30 in the afternoon before he struggled to move less than 1 kilometer. Although the traffic jam exceeded his expectations, Mr. Nguyen excitedly said that he would be able to see the face of this great project soon, "It was worth the wait of two hours!" Mr. Ruan told the CCTV reporter that many of the company's customers are in Shenzhen, and he used to drive to Shenzhen via Humen every week, which took more than two hours each way, "and it takes longer during holidays." For the opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel, several accompanying colleagues said in unison that "I have been looking forward to it for many years, and it has finally opened", which means that it will be more convenient to visit customers in Shenzhen in the future, and the company's prospects will be more imaginative.

Mr. Ning, a man from Guangzhou, made a special trip to experience the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Passage with his daughter, and he told a reporter from CCTV, "This time I brought my daughter to experience the beautiful scenery of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge, so that she can have a more intuitive feeling of the world-class super project, and I hope she can feel the rapid development of our country."

First day of driving: The journey takes approximately 90 minutes

At around 18:54, after nearly two hours of queuing, the reporter finally entered the Cuihengdong toll station. Due to the excessive number of vehicles on the bridge, the vehicle is slow, there are many traffic police at the entrance of the ramp in directing traffic, after entering the bridge, the vehicle can only drive slowly at a speed of about 20 kilometers per hour, along the way, the reporter saw many vehicles open the window to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the cross-sea bridge.

It is understood that the entire Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor adopts the scheme of "East Tunnel and West Bridge", which integrates bridges, islands, tunnels and underwater interconnection. The reporter drove in from the side of Zhongshan, and the first thing to admire was the Shenzhong Bridge. The Lingding Ocean on both sides of the bridge is vast, the Shenzhong Bridge under the golden glow of the sunset is magnificent, the 270-meter-high main tower towers into the clouds, the bridge is two-way eight-lane, the design speed is 100 kilometers per hour, the main span is 1666 meters, and the limit tensile force of 199 cable strands is as high as 740 tons. It is worth mentioning that the bridge is resistant to a category 17 typhoon.

After the Shenzhong Bridge, it passes through the West Artificial Island, which is known as the "central brain" of the Shenzhong Channel, which is an important hub for the transformation of bridge and tunnel traffic, integrating management and maintenance, science, education and tourism. The west artificial island covers an area of about 137,000 square meters, which is equivalent to the size of 19 football fields. Looking down from the air, it looks like a kunpeng, spreading its wings and soaring on the surface of the Lingding Ocean. However, on the first day of its opening, the West Artificial Island was not open to the public.

At around 19:50, the reporter entered the Shenzhong Tunnel from the West Artificial Island. It is reported that the total length of the tunnel is 6,845 meters, with a total of 4 lanes, a width of about 46 meters to 55 meters, and a seabed depth of 39 meters, which is the widest submarine tunnel in the world.

The reporter also found a "net red" element in the tunnel, driving from west to east in the tunnel to about 1/2 place, you can find that the top of the tunnel has made a submarine simulation design, integrating the elements of jellyfish, sea water and waves, so that people driving in the tunnel have a feeling of walking through the aquarium.

At 20:27, after the reporter drove out of the undersea tunnel, he drove out of the first toll station exit and entered Shenzhen, the whole journey was 24 kilometers, 30 minutes by car, and the driving took about 90 minutes. In terms of tolls, the toll standard for vehicles on the whole line of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor is 66 yuan per standard train. It is reported that after the opening of traffic, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor will also strictly implement a series of preferential policies and measures issued by the state and Guangdong Province, including free tolls for small passenger cars with 7 seats and below on major holidays, free "green channel" for the transportation of fresh agricultural products, and 95% off ETC vehicle tolls.

Why does the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor attract global attention?

According to the data provided by the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor Management Center of Guangdong Provincial Communications Group, as of 15:00 on July 1, the 24-hour traffic volume of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor has exceeded 125,000 trips since it was officially opened for trial operation at 15:00 on June 30. At 5 p.m. on the first day of operation, the traffic volume reached its peak at 8,000 trips per hour.

At the same time as the opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan cross-city bus line was opened simultaneously, and the direct bus connection between Shenzhen and Zhongshan was realized for the first time. The reporter of the central radio network learned from Zhongshan Public Transport Group Co., Ltd. that on June 30, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan cross-city bus line T01 Line A and B lines were officially opened, and on the opening day, a total of more than 1,000 passengers took the Shenzhen-Zhongshan cross-city line to Shenzhen.

The arrival of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor cross-sea project has made the east and west banks of the Pearl River directly connected in a real sense for the first time.

Following the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor is another world-class cross-sea super project in the Greater Bay Area. Viewed from the air, the Pearl River Estuary is a standard "A" shaped inner bay, starting from Zhongshan on the west bank of the Lingding Ocean and going to Shenzhen on the east coast, you have always had to detour from the top of the "A" shape. Building a modern transportation network of 100 kilometers around the Pearl River Estuary has been put on the agenda. The Shenzhong Passage is located in the axis of the "A" shaped inner bay of Lingdingyang, 30 kilometers away from the Humen Bridge in the north and 31 kilometers away from the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge in the south, opening up a 24-kilometer-long, two-way 8-lane highway cross-sea passage.

After the completion and opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor, it will become the key "one horizontal" of the "A" shaped traffic main skeleton of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the driving time from Zhongshan to Shenzhen will be shortened from one and a half hours to about half an hour, becoming the main traffic artery connecting the urban agglomerations on both sides of the Pearl River Estuary, and the direct connection channel of the two major functional groups of "Shenzhen-Dongguan-Huizhou" and "Zhuzhongjiang" in the Greater Bay Area.

The completion of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor will improve the national highway network and the comprehensive transportation system of the Greater Bay Area, open up the economic arteries on the east and west banks of the Pearl River Estuary with a mileage of 24 kilometers and a drive of less than 30 minutes, connect the "four major platforms" of Qianhai, Nansha, Hengqin and Hetao, and connect the "two corridors" of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong and Guangzhou-Zhuhai-Macao Science and Technology Innovation Corridors. It is of great significance to promote the integrated development of urban agglomerations in the Greater Bay Area.
