At present, it is the season of chili pepper harvesting, and the chili pepper planting base in Lijiatai Community of Chengguan Town, Hanyin County has also ushered in a bumper harvest. In the pepper greenhouse, the villagers are busy picking peppers, full of the joy of harvest.
"I came this morning and started picking peppers, and after picking spicy peppers for a while, I went to order (plant) spicy peppers, and recently ordered (planted) spicy peppers and weeds, and I have been doing it for two months, and I have work every day, and I can earn more than 100 yuan a day, and I am happy to do it anyway" Zhao Wanfu, a migrant worker, picked ripe peppers one by one.
In order to consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation and continue to promote rural revitalization to inject strong impetus, Lijiatai Community, Chengguan Town, Hanyin County, closely focuses on the concept of "rural revitalization, industry first", and regards characteristic industries as an important starting point for enriching the people and rejuvenating the community.
It is understood that the Lijiatai community has vigorously developed and expanded the "short, flat and fast" pepper industry according to local conditions due to the advantages of small early investment, short planting cycle, guaranteed purchase price and large market demand for chili peppers, so as to drive the people in the jurisdiction to increase their income and get rich.
"This year, our community planted 60 greenhouse peppers, which began to be picked in these two days, and can last until September, with a yield of about 3,000 catties per mu and a market price of 3 yuan a catty, because the varieties are good and the quality is excellent, and the peppers planted are favored by consumers and buyers." Liu Caikuan, deputy director of the Lijiatai Community Neighborhood Committee in Chengguan Town, said.
"Little pepper" has become a "hot" big industry. Starting this year, the Lijiatai community will further increase the planting area of peppers, increase the yield through careful management, extend the pepper industry chain to produce pickled peppers and other measures, and continue to promote the pepper industry to become bigger and stronger, drum up the "money bags" of the masses, strengthen the village collective economy, and help rural revitalization.
