On the morning of June 30th, the "Inheritance of Classics and Building Dreams for the Future" - the original exhibition and theme sharing activity of children's picture books of excellent traditional Chinese culture was successfully held in the multi-functional hall of Qingdao Women and Children's Activity Center. More than 30 groups of families gathered together to participate in this event.
The event was hosted by Qingdao Women's Federation, Propaganda Department of Qingdao Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, Qingdao Publishing Group, Qingdao Women and Children's Activity Center, Qingdao Library, Minjin South District Grassroots Committee, Qingdao Publishing House, Qingdao National Reading Research Institute, Shangjieli Bookstore, Qingdao Xiaofangzhai Art Co., Ltd.
This exhibition exhibits more than 70 original classic picture books such as "Confucius", "Millennium Dujiangyan", "Ancient Silk Road" and "Old Chinese Games" created and treasured by Shen Jiarong, a member of the Chinese Artists Association and winner of the National Book Award, and his daughter Shen Shan, showing the unique charm and far-reaching significance of Chinese picture book art to children and parents. Under the leadership of Mr. Shen, the children and parents also visited the original picture book exhibition with great interest, and the exquisite original picture book works attracted everyone to stop and appreciate and savor them.
At the theme sharing meeting, Mr. Shen Jiarong brought a wonderful lecture to everyone. He told the story behind the creation of children's picture books of excellent traditional Chinese culture, and shared his personal experience and experience in the process of painting Chinese stories, painting skills and emotional injection. As a unique art form, Chinese picture books can not only stimulate children's imagination and creativity, but also allow children to appreciate the timeless charm of the excellent Chinese tradition, cultivate cultural self-confidence, and inherit spiritual strength.
This activity is a specific measure and innovative practice of the Municipal Women's Federation to implement the fundamental task of establishing morality and cultivating people, strengthening children's patriotism education, vigorously advocating national reading, and promoting ideological and moral construction. It is hoped that through this activity, more children can appreciate the unique artistic charm of Chinese picture books, promote traditional Chinese culture, cultivate cultural self-confidence, and stimulate family and country feelings and responsibility. The exhibition will be on display for two weeks in the multi-purpose hall of the center, ending on July 14. Friends of all ages are welcome to visit the exhibition.
