Yemeni youth: "The Communist Party of China is the leader and guardian of China's development"

In recent years, China has actively promoted exchanges and mutual learning among different civilizations, and welcomes outstanding young people from all over the world to study in China. On the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of the birth of the Communist Party of China, Global Information Broadcasting launched a special program "The Communist Party of China in the Eyes of Foreign Youth", listening to foreign young people talk about their experience of studying in China and their true feelings about the achievements of the Communist Party of China in the new era.

It has been six years since Abdulaziz, a young Yemeni man, went to China to study, and what touched him the most was the "science and technology" in his daily life. He believes that the rapid development of China's scientific and technological level is very amazing, and this is due to the guidance and protection of the Communist Party of China.

Abdul Aziz, a young Yemeni man, was interviewed by a reporter from China Central Television

Abdulaziz is Wang Qiang in Chinese, and is currently studying for a master's degree in power engineering and engineering thermophysics at Beijing Institute of Technology. As early as when he was in elementary school, he planted the seed in his heart to observe China with his own eyes, because two of his family went to study in China, which had a deep impact on him.

Abdulaziz: "When my uncle came back from studying in China in 2006, he brought us a lot of gifts, which made me interested in China. I remember that he brought back a tea set, some of which were very beautiful, and some calligraphy works, I thought the Chinese characters were very similar to those drawn, so I was curious, and he also told us about his learning and life experience in China. What I remember the most is the various scenic spots he photographed, such as the Great Wall in Beijing and the West Lake in Hangzhou...... It was some beautiful photos that filled me with curiosity and yearning for this distant eastern country. In 2008, my brother also chose to study in China, which strengthened my determination to go to China in the future. ”

Abdulaziz completed his undergraduate studies at Lanzhou University of Technology

Abdulaziz believes that the fruitful cooperation between Yemen and China in the field of education has greatly facilitated the study of Yemeni students in China.

Abdulaziz: "The Yemeni government and the Chinese government have had some educational cooperation very early on, and my uncle was able to apply for a scholarship to study in China, and then he came to China to study computer science. ”

In 2018, Abdulaziz fulfilled his wish to study in China. A year before he arrived in China, young people from the Belt and Road countries selected China's "four new inventions" – high-speed rail, online shopping, QR code payment and bicycle sharing – and he was looking forward to experiencing this convenient lifestyle firsthand.

When he came to China to start studying, he was deeply shocked by the application of various scientific and technological innovations.

Abdulaziz: "I had the opportunity to come to China in 2018, and in the course of my studies in the past few years, I have deeply felt the rapid development of China, especially the high-speed railway, which is one of China's 'new four major inventions', which left a deep impression on me. I remember the first time I took the Chinese high-speed train, I was blown away by the speed and comfort of it, the carriages were clean, the seats were soft, and the speed was so fast, that in just a few hours from Beijing to Shanghai, I crossed thousands of kilometers, as if I had crossed it, and I was really amazed. ”

From Lanzhou University of Technology to Beijing Institute of Technology, the six years of studying abroad in China have also influenced Abdulaziz to plan his future career and view the world. He hopes to bring back to Yemen the achievements and skills he has learned during his study in China, and contribute to the overall development of his homeland and the Middle East.

Abdulaziz: "My major is power engineering and engineering thermophysics, which is particularly suitable for the overall environment of the Middle East because it is related to the environment and new energy. Studying in China not only taught me a lot of knowledge, but also changed my perspective on the future. I am deeply aware that only by constantly learning and improving myself can I gain a foothold in this competitive world. After graduation, I plan to bring back the knowledge I have learned in China to the Middle East, so that the Middle East can develop more industries related to new energy and use new energy to protect the environment. ”

It can be seen from the experience of Abdulaziz, a young man from Yemen, who went to study in China, that in the world, more and more aspiring young people are looking to the East to pursue their dreams, hoping to learn from China's development achievements in the new era.

Abdulaziz believes that it is the Communist Party of China (CPC) that is leading China's modernization to achieve better development.

Abdulaziz: "In the past few years of studying and living in China, I have felt that the help and planning of the Communist Party of China in various places is very good, and I have been to Dunhuang and the Hexi Corridor...... Cities related to the Belt and Road, these places are good. The murals in Dunhuang are beautiful, and the local environment is well protected. I feel that without the Communist Party of China, there would be no New China, let alone the current China.

The Communist Party of China (CPC) has always encouraged and paid attention to economic development, as well as fairness and harmony in Chinese society. In the past few years in China, I have felt that the Communist Party of China (CPC) is the leader and guardian of China's development, which has continuously improved the people's living standards, and I believe that the CPC will continue to lead China to a better future. ”
