From the perspective of a traveler's character, walking in Puji Village, the happiest thing is to see some nostalgia and things that are drifting away. The traditional Naxi-style courtyard building, with wooden doors and earthen walls, has witnessed the quiet and peaceful years.
Inside and outside the wall, there is a small vegetable garden, full of melons, fruits and flowers, some of which are all kinds of flowers, which bloom in all seasons. If it is a white wall, the paintings on the wall reflect the real mountains and rivers of Puji Mountain. Walking in Puji Village, there is also a leisurely time here.
In the quiet time, it feels like everything is hidden outside the world, and the village wafts with the fragrance of the earth, but the people's hearts are spotless. When it comes to cleanliness and spotlessness, it is the ancient well in the village. It carries the beliefs and memories of the villagers, and flows the clear sound of the years. In ancient times, the villagers regarded the ancient trees and wells as sacred trees and sacred waters, and carefully protected them, and today they are the oldest scenery in the village.
From ancient times to the present, Puji Village has produced many talents, and there have been historical and cultural celebrities and martyrs such as Wushenggong and Shiqing, He Binzhong, He Zhaoji, Wenshenggong and Yunxing, poets and Xidian, social science celebrities and Xundian, cultural celebrities Mu Yaojun, revolutionary martyrs and Shiqin. In ancient times, Puji Village had many special festivals such as Maitreya Meeting, Turning the Scriptures, Lixia Festival, etc., and now, these ancient customs continue to be inherited in different cultural forms and endure for a long time.
In 2022, Puji Village will be included in the key villages of rural revitalization in Gucheng District, with investment and key construction. Thinking back to reality, there is a sense of "visiting the village for half a day, the world for thousands of years", and the quiet time seems to be frozen in Puji Village.
