The new generation of BMW M5 was officially released on June 26, the new car is codenamed G90, is the first hybrid high-performance sedan in BMW's M power division, weighing up to 2445kg, nearly 500kg higher than the F90M5, but this car is the fastest acceleration product in BMW's production car, accelerating to 100 kilometers in 3.5 seconds.
The exterior of the new BMW M5 is an upgrade based on the regular version of the 5 Series BMW car, with a light-emitting kidney grille on the front, a closed gloss black design on the surface, radar and sensors inside, and an M5 logo on the right side of the grille to show its new energy attributes. From the side, the fenders have been larger, with wheels of 20 inches in the front and 21 inches in the rear, with a total of three wheel styles to choose from. It is equipped with 285/40 ZR20 front and 295/35 ZR21 rear high-performance tyres.
In terms of interior, the design of the new car is basically the same as that of the ordinary BMW 5 Series, the steering wheel is a newly designed flat-bottom sports style, the central control screen is a 14.9-inch curved large screen, the LCD instrument panel is 12.3 inches, and the car machine system is OS8.5. The interior is equipped with M5 lighting, Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system, head-up display, panoramic sunroof, and optional all-carbon roof, which can reduce weight by 30kg.
Power may be the biggest highlight of the new car, the G90 M5 is equipped with the S68 4.4T V8 engine + single-motor plug-in hybrid power system, which is derived from the high-performance hybrid technology of the BMW M Hybrid V8 racing car at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with a combined power of 727 horsepower and a combined torque of 1000 Nm. The maximum engine power is 585 horsepower, the motor power is 197 horsepower, the battery capacity is 18.6 kWh, the American version is 14.8 kWh, the WLTP pure electric range is about 70 km, and the pure electric maximum speed is 140 km / h.
