A group of pictures of the new BMW M2 has been exposed by foreign media recently, and the new car's São Paulo yellow body is very eye-catching, and the first vision is amazing. As a mid-cycle facelift, the exterior of the new car has not changed much, mainly for the interior and powertrain. The new car is expected to be officially unveiled at the opening ceremony of the Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 11.
Looking at the exterior first, the most eye-catching thing about the new car is its color, the new São Paulo yellow body is very stylish, this relatively rare color also brings a strong sense of freshness. The exterior design changes are mainly the replacement of the blacked-out M2 badge and exhaust at the front and rear, the aerodynamic design of the front lip and side skirts has been optimized, and more carbon fiber trim is used, which is basically the same as the current model. In addition, the new car revealed this time also uses M Performance Parts.
Inside, the new car will get a new flat-bottomed steering wheel and red sports seats, with the option of optional carbon fibre bucket seats, which were previously included in the carbon fibre package and are now standalone. The central control part still adopts the BMW family design language, uses a joint screen layout, and is equipped with the BMW iDrive 8.5 infotainment system.
In terms of power, the new car still uses a 3.0T inline 6-cylinder twin-turbo engine, with a maximum power of 20 horsepower higher than the current model, reaching 480 horsepower. Maximum torque is 550 Nm (6-speed manual) and 601 Nm (8-speed automatic). The corresponding 0-96km/h is 4.1 seconds and 3.9 seconds, respectively.
The new colour scheme brings a touch of freshness to the new BMW M2, but otherwise it doesn't seem to be a big change, so what do you think of the new car? Let's talk about it.
