Recently, serious floods have occurred in many places in Pingyuan, Jiaoling, Meixian, Dapu and other places, affecting the hearts of the vast number of cadres and masses in Fengshun County. At 18 o'clock in the afternoon of June 22, the party committee and government of Fengliang Town attached great importance to and quickly organized, mobilized the vast number of party members and cadres to sign up enthusiastically, gathered counterpart support forces, and formed an 11-member support team led by Luo Yujun, deputy secretary of the town party committee, and rushed to the front line of Tuanxi Village, Chagan Town, Pingyuan County at 9 a.m. on June 23, and went all out to carry out the work of dredging and obstacle removal, environmental sanitization, infrastructure restoration, production restoration, post-disaster reconstruction, and serving the masses.
In order to do a good job in this counterpart support work, Fengliang Town gave full play to the role of grassroots party organizations as a fighting fortress and the exemplary role of party members as pioneers, established the fourth temporary party group of the party branch of the CPC Fengshun County counterpart support Pingyuan County disaster relief and resumption task force, and made arrangements for the division of labor among personnel, including 9 members of the cleaning and sanitizing team, responsible for orderly dredging, transportation, epidemic prevention and sanitizing and other work; 1 person in the data reporting team, responsible for timely reporting work progress and publicity materials to the superior department; 1 person in the logistics support group, responsible for deploying emergency supplies and transporting daily necessities.
After the team arrived in Tuanxi Village, the majority of party members and cadres deeply practiced the requirements of "I am a party member, I go first" and "I am a party member, I take the lead", and took the initiative to contact the secretary of the party branch of the village to learn more about the damage to the houses, blocked roads, and fallen trees in the village. At the disaster site, the team members braved the high temperature and scorching sun, carried forward the spirit of not being afraid of dirty, not afraid of hardship, not afraid of tiredness, holding shovels, brooms and other tools, cleaning and transporting the ground sludge and sundries with heart and soul, and doing a good job in material handling, rescuing the masses, etc., to help the affected areas restore the order of production and life as soon as possible.
As of the afternoon of June 27, Fengliang Town has successfully completed the tasks assigned by Tuanxi Village, Chagan Town. On the afternoon of June 28, counterpart support teams from Fengliang Town and six townships, including Baxiangshan, Beidou, Jianqiao, Longgang and Pantian, quickly assembled in Wengui Village, Surabaya Township, which was severely affected by the disaster, to study and discuss the work of dredging and removing obstacles, sanitizing and resuming work and production after the disaster.
The team members said that although they were tired from running all the way and high-intensity dredging work, everyone was not crying out that they were tired, they were full of energy, and all they wanted was to help the affected people with practical actions. "The sooner the road is cleared, the sooner the local people can return to travel and life."
After two days of continuous fighting, the members of the Fengliang support team were not afraid of the "baking test" and fought on the front line, through simple cleaning tools such as shovels, hoes, brooms and the cooperation of hook machines, to remove the mud and debris in Putan Street, Wharf and other places in Wengui Village, Surabaya Town, to help the affected villagers restore production and life order as soon as possible.
