Judging from the current news reported by domestic media and the news circulating on the Internet, this company is called Tianbing Technology, and this rocket is called Tianlong-3. Previously, on June 11, the domestic media also reported that the Tianlong-3 rocket successfully completed a sub-assembly test, and will carry out the first domestic nine-machine parallel all-thermal system test at the end of June, and will carry out the first flight test in September.
Judging from the video taken at the scene and the news that came out, the rocket caught fire due to a malfunction shortly after takeoff, which caused the rocket to lose power, flew in an arc trajectory in the air for a certain distance and then fell to the place and exploded, but there is no news of casualties at present.
According to the current news from Tianbing Technology Company, this test is a parallel static ignition test of nine engines of its Tianlong 3 launch vehicle, but some industry insiders believe that since the rockets have flown out, this statement is actually not reliable.
In fact, the rocket engine test is a static test, that is, it will not cause the rocket to take off, the tester will check the engine during the test process, understand whether the engine can work properly, and will also collect a series of test data for subsequent analysis.
In the domestic aviation field, this kind of static test suddenly became a launch is actually the first time, and it is precisely because of this strange situation that many people in the industry have doubts about this test. At the same time, there are also many experts who believe that the occurrence of this situation may be due to the insufficient design of the redundancy of the fixed device to carry the engine thrust, or it may be that the actual thrust of the engine is higher than the design thrust, resulting in the fixed device being unable to fix the rocket after the engine is ignited, which ultimately leads to the thrust being greater than the fixed force, and then causes the rocket to detach from the launch pad.
In fact, to put it simply, the fixed device could not control the rocket, which led to the static test becoming a launch, but whether it was because there was a problem during the test, the amount of redundancy was insufficient, or because there was a problem in the engine design, which led to a miscalculation of the thrust of the engine, which led to the occurrence of this accident, there is no accurate news at present.
However, it is worth noting that the rocket test will generally choose some places where there is no one, and judging from the current news, there is actually no space launch site near Gongyi, Henan, where the accident occurred. At present, the mainland's space launch sites are mainly located in Jiuquan in Gansu, milling machines in Sichuan, Taiyuan in Shanxi, Wenchang in Henan and Yantai in Shandong.
Judging from the news released by the relevant departments of Gongyi City, the engine thrust of the rocket reached 820 tons, and then because of the structural failure of the connection between the rocket and the test bench, a sub-stage rocket broke away from the launch pad, and then exploded and disintegrated in the mountains 1.5 kilometers southwest of the test bench. At the place where the rocket fell, a fire broke out due to the rocket falling, but the fire has been brought under control and there have been no casualties.
The rocket Tianlong 3 that had the accident belonged to the domestic private aviation enterprise Tianbing 3, and according to the previous public news of Tianbing 3, it had completed the C+ round of financing of more than 1.5 billion yuan in June, and the financing was completed by a number of well-known domestic institutions.
The funds from this financing will be mainly used for the first flight of the Tianlong-3 large liquid launch vehicle and the subsequent mass production, the research of the recyclable state products of the Sanlong-3 rocket, and the mass production of the Tianlong-2 medium-sized liquid rocket. Tianbing Technology has been established for more than five years, and has completed 15 rounds of financing and more than 4 billion yuan.
It is one of the first enterprises in China to develop liquid oxygen kerosene rocket engines and medium and large liquid launch vehicles, and its technical development in related fields is actually at the leading level in China. The Tianlong-3 launch vehicle is tailor-made for the construction of the mainland's satellite Internet constellation.
Its performance level is also very good, and it is on a good benchmark with the Falcon of SpaceX, a well-known foreign private aviation company. It has a diameter of 3.8 meters, a take-off mass of 590 tons, a low-earth orbit capacity of 17 tons, and a solar orbit capacity of 14 tons.
It is worth noting that Tianlong-3 uses a liquid rocket engine, which has the characteristics of low cost, high reliability and high frequency, which can well meet the needs of satellite Internet constellation construction and realize the launch capacity of 30 satellites in one rocket.
Tianbing Technology has also attracted a lot of domestic investment with the Tianlong-3 launch vehicle, and its scale has also become 495 among the non-listed companies with a valuation of more than 1 billion US dollars after 2000, ranking first among domestic commercial airlines.
There is no doubt that the occurrence of this accident will most likely affect the first flight test originally scheduled to be launched in July, but Tianbing Technology has not responded to this accident at present.
