The 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China
In 1921, the founding of the Communist Party of China was like a beacon, pointing out the way forward for China, and in the same year, Henan's first party organization, the "Luoyang Group of the Communist Party of China", was born
At the beginning of 1921, You Tianyang, a progressive youth, was appointed by Li Dazhao and Deng Zhongxia to Luoyang to guide the workers' movement. On November 5, You Tianyang, together with Bai Meishan and other advanced elements, established the first mass organization of Luoyang railway workers, the Luoyang Doujin Club of Longhai Railway, which opened the prelude to the workers' movement in the Central Plains.
On November 20, a general strike on the whole line of the Longhai Railway was launched in the Luoyang Locomotive Depot. Luoyang, Zhengzhou, Kaifeng, Xuzhou and other places, the train whistle sounded, from Xuzhou in the east, to Guanyin Hall in the west, all the passenger and freight vehicles on the longest east-west railway line in the mainland at that time were all suspended. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the Longhai Railway Strike achieved an initial victory. At the end of December, the Longhai Railway Federation of Trade Unions was established.
The Longhai Railway Strike, which broke out less than four months after the founding of the Communist Party of China, was the first large-scale strike struggle led by the Communist Party of China.
After the victory of the Longhai Railway Strike, You Tianyang was introduced by Li Dazhao and Luo Zhanglong to join the Communist Party of China and became the first Communist Party member in Luoyang.
On December 24, You Tianyang introduced the progressive Bai Meishan and the train driver Wang Fushun to join the party, and the Luoyang Group of the Communist Party of China was formally established, becoming the first Communist Party organization established by the Communist Party of China in Henan. At the same time, it is also one of the earliest party branches and party groups of the Communist Party of China in the northern region, and has an important position in the history of the Henan Party and the history of the Communist Party of China.
After the establishment of the Luoyang Group of the Communist Party of China, with Luoyang as the center, Kaifeng, Zhengzhou, Shangqiu, Xuzhou and other places on the Longhai Railway Line carried out the work of recruiting party members and establishing trade unions, which laid a solid organizational foundation, mass foundation, talent base and valuable struggle experience for the workers' movement such as the 27th National Strike, and provided the soil for the Communist Party of China to practice revolutionary theory and find a revolutionary foundation in the early days of the party's founding.
As a result, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the vigorous revolutionary struggle in the Central Plains region was vigorously launched.
On June 28, the Luoyang Locomotive Depot organized 26 probationary party members to take the oath to join the party in front of the Luoyang Group Memorial Hall of the Communist Party of China.
