  Baocheng Railway is the first electrified railway in New China, which has been open to traffic for 66 years, and as an important channel for China-Europe trains, Baocheng Railway undertakes the important mission of serving the "Belt and Road". In recent years, the rapid increase in passenger and freight traffic and the long-term crushing of trains have brought a certain degree of wear and tear to the railway line. In order to effectively eliminate the diseases of the line and ensure the safe operation of the railway, Baocheng Railway has carried out large-scale equipment renovation since May 7.

  In this centralized repair, more than 2,400 people from 17 units including the Mianyang Public Works Section of China Railway Chengdu Bureau Group Co., Ltd., the Mianyang Railway Depot and the Chengdu Public Works Depot, focused on the remediation of line diseases, and completed more than 10 key construction tasks such as replacing 39.095 kilometers of rails, 2.42 kilometers of foundation bed disease remediation, 30 groups of turnout bottom cleaning, screening and ballast replacement, 276.95 kilometers of railway line tamping, 262 groups of turnout machine tamping, and 130 groups of turnout machine grinding. The turnout machine tamping, the line, the turnout machine grinding, and the section replacement of the rail have exceeded the established construction goals.

  In addition, the Baocheng Railway Centralized Repair Headquarters also combined with the series of activities of the safety production month, organized all units to strictly implement construction safety control measures during construction, fully carried out on-site survey and construction investigation before operation, prepared construction plans, held daily construction technology disclosure meetings, refined safety card control measures, risk card control tables and other content, and made every effort to ensure construction safety.

  "We not only successfully completed the replacement of more than 37,000 sleepers between Mianyang and Huangxu Town, but also replaced and upgraded the turnouts of 6 large and small stations such as Guangyuan South and Deyang Station, which effectively improved the comfort of passengers and provided a strong guarantee for the safe and smooth operation of railway transportation." Chen Longfei, assistant engineer of the line technology section of the Mianyang Public Works Section, said.

  It is understood that the Baocheng railway sleeper replacement task implements a fully mechanized sleeper replacement operation, and the operation efficiency is doubled. At the same time, for the first time, the HGC-IV rail change trolley and flash welding were used for rail replacement operations, which greatly reduced the safety risk and labor intensity of manual rail skiing, and realized the two-way improvement of safety and efficiency.
