Yangtze Evening News, July 1 (Correspondent Meng Qinghu, Mo Daiguo, Reporter Shi Xiaolei) In the early morning of June 30, with the last car of concrete pouring, the construction of the first section of the main pier of the No. 3 main pier of the Yangtze River Bridge of the North Yanjiang (Shanghai-Chongqing-Rong) high-speed railway V standard Chongqi Railway was completed, and the No. 3 main pier of the bridge was successfully discharged.

On the same day, the two main piers of the Chongqi Railway Yangtze River Bridge all broke through the water, marking the significant progress of the project construction.

According to the construction unit China Railway Bridge Bureau, the top elevation of the first section of the No. 3 main pier is 3.25 meters, and the cross-sectional size of the first section of the tower column is 11.8 meters long, 9.8 meters wide, 5.75 meters high, and 403.4 cubic meters of concrete, which is the standard section of the lower tower column. After the water level rose in the flood season recently, the top surface of the tower column was 1 meter higher than the high tide water level.

The No. 3 main tower of the bridge is a vase-shaped concrete tower, which is composed of 6 parts, including the tower base, the lower tower column, the middle tower column, the upper tower column, the lower beam and the upper beam, the total height of the main tower is 153 meters, and the tower columns on both sides are respectively poured into 27 times, and the concrete of a single tower column is 17440.5 cubic meters in total. After the completion of the construction of the first section of the tower column, the remaining sections of the tower column will be constructed by hydraulic climbing formwork in the follow-up, and each tower column surface is equipped with an independent hydraulic drive system, which can climb separately. After the installation of the climbing formwork system is completed, the surface treatment, installation in place, adjustment and fixing of the formwork can be completed by the system itself. It is planned to complete the pouring of 116 meters of tower columns within this year.

The Chongqi Railway Yangtze River Bridge is a control node project of the Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei high-speed railway, with a total length of 4.09 kilometers and spanning the northern branch of the Yangtze River estuary. It is constructed as a double-decker road-rail bridge, with a two-way 6-lane first-class highway with a speed of 100 kilometers per hour on the upper deck, and a double-track high-speed railway with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour + a double-track intercity railway with a speed of 250 kilometers per hour. Among them, the main navigation hole bridge is a 400-meter-long double-tower double-cable-surface steel truss combined beam cable-stayed bridge, which is the world's largest double-tower double-cable-surface road-rail dual-purpose ballastless track cable-stayed bridge.

After the completion of the project, a new fast channel will be built between the Shanghai metropolitan area, the Nanjing metropolitan area and the Hefei metropolitan area, which is of great significance for optimizing the layout of the railway network along the Yangtze River, serving the coordinated development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and promoting the high-quality integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
