Apple Ring
According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is exploring "all the possibilities" of future wearables, including an Apple Ring smart ring. It also focuses on health aspects, or provides the ability to monitor blood pressure, blood oxygen, heart rate, and step counting.
In addition, Apple also has a new patent for a smart ring, which shows that it can connect to iPhone, MacBook, Apple TV, AirPods, AR / VR headset and other devices, and supports tap, long press, rub, rotate, lean forward, lean back and other gestures.
Judging from this patent, the positioning of Apple Ring should not be limited to iPhone accessories, but to connect Apple's entire hardware ecosystem. If this is the case, it may be able to act as a "mouse" for the Vision Pro, allowing for greater gesture precision.
In fact, Meizu also released a similar product last year, called MYVU Ring, but the popularity is not too high. Samsung and Apple, as top manufacturers, should be able to bring higher market attention, and perhaps the next hot spot in the wearable field will be smart rings.
AirPods
In addition to smart rings, the AirPods series may also usher in a major overhaul. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo's latest news, Apple plans to add an infrared camera module to AirPods headphones in 2026.
Unlike the infrared cameras commonly found on mobile phones, the infrared cameras on AirPods do not provide image information, but are only used to detect the depth of the environment to improve the user's spatial audio experience.
For example, when connected to the Vision Pro to watch a video, the infrared camera on the AirPods can more accurately detect the user's head steering angle and acceleration, and then use this information to adjust the sound source in real time, making the entire viewing process more realistic.
MacBook Pro
