Recently, the branches of a street tree on Jiefang Road broke and crumbling, causing concern among citizens. After the docking of the "media + supervision" working group, the Nanming District Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau coordinated the greening company to go to the site to deal with it in a timely manner to eliminate potential safety hazards.
Members of the public have complained of severed branches on street trees.
On June 17, Mr. Luo, who lives near Jiefang Road in Nanming District, reported to the "Media + Supervision" working group that the branches of a street tree on Jiefang Road had been broken for many days, but no one had cleaned it up.
On the morning of June 18, the working group went to the scene and saw that most of the street trees at the gate of Yinhua Home on Jiefang Road were seven or eight meters high, with lush branches and leaves, and the broken branches were about one meter long, hanging in the air, and they were crumbling when the wind blew. The working group noticed that there was a sidewalk under the broken branch, and there were shops, neighborhoods, and schools near the section, and there was a large flow of people. "There are a lot of students and pedestrians in the area, and it is the rainy season, so the risk of falling branches is very high." Mr. Luo said.
There are many pedestrians passing by, and it is difficult to notice the situation above.
"These street trees are very tall, and the broken branches are also high, and we don't have the professional equipment, so we can't reach them." Ms. Li, a nearby merchant, also hopes that the relevant departments can solve this safety hazard as soon as possible.
The "Media + Supervision" working group immediately contacted the Nanming District Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau. In the afternoon of the same day, the staff of the bureau immediately coordinated with the greening company in charge of the road section to clean up the broken branches. The bureau said that in the future, it will also urge greening companies to increase inspections to ensure the safety of citizens.

"The department's disposal efficiency is very fast, and after the tree branches are cleared, pedestrians are much more relieved to cross the road." Mr. Luo, a citizen, said.
