On June 30, the Science and Technology Bureau of Xincheng District, together with the community of Taihua Road Street and Yarn Factory East Street, jointly held the activity of "Promoting the Spirit of Scientists and Creating a Beautiful Community - The Spirit of Scientists into the Community".
With the theme of "Law Escorts Growth, Science and Technology Lights Up Youth", this activity aims to improve the scientific literacy and creativity of young people in the community, strengthen the legal education of young people in the community, enhance the concept of the rule of law and safety awareness of young people, and let young people know, understand, abide by and use the law, and the activity attracted more than 20 young people in the community to participate.
First of all, Lei Kai, a senior police officer of Xi'an Judicial Police College, brought a wonderful lecture on law popularization to the young people on the scene. Combined with vivid cases, Mr. Lei explained the relevant legal knowledge in simple terms, emphasizing how young people should protect their rights and interests in accordance with the law in their daily life and enhance their awareness of self-protection. In order to deepen everyone's understanding of popular law education and consolidate the learning results, Mr. Lei also interacted with everyone by asking questions on the spot, which won bursts of applause from parents and children.
Subsequently, the science and technology volunteers led the teenagers to experience science and technology handicrafts. Under the guidance of the teacher, the children focused on observing, thinking, and doing, and made walking robots in laughter, and the children saw the robot assembled by themselves move, and they were full of a sense of accomplishment, not only experiencing the fun of science, but also cultivating hands-on ability and creativity.
At the end of the activity, the New Era Civilization Practice Station of the Yarn Factory East Street Community organized the Longhai Youth Volunteer Service Team to carry out social practice activities at the "Shared Vegetable Garden" practice base in the community. Under the guidance of the volunteers, the children picked cucumbers, beans, coriander and other vegetables, and felt the joy of the harvest with smiles on their faces.
This activity is novel in form, which not only entertains and educates, but also integrates the spirit of scientists into community life, provides a platform for young people to understand legal knowledge and experience the charm of science and technology, stimulates their interest and enthusiasm for science, and guides young people to establish a good trend of advocating and loving science.
