3 people drowned in the river road
On May 9, a number of netizens posted that seven students in Helip Town, Lianjiang City, Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province, had an accident while swimming in the river, and three of them drowned.
According to media sources, the incident occurred after school on the afternoon of May 8, and the three students who drowned were all second-year students of Helip Middle School, and they were classmates, including a boarding student and two day students.
Please stay away!
Drowning accidents mostly occur in wild waters, including rivers, reservoirs, ponds, streams, pools, etc., and their danger is often beyond imagination.
How to deal with accidental drowning?
1. Relax your body and lean back without struggling to prevent sinking.
The lungs where the body can generate buoyancy are located in the upper body, while the center of gravity of the body is located in the lower body. When the body is not relaxed, the person sinks into the water.
2. Raise your hands above your head so that your center of gravity moves upwards to help you lie on your back on the water. Lift your chin and keep your mouth and nose above the water as much as possible to keep your breathing while shouting for help.
3. Pay attention to whether there are any objects around you that can help you float, and hold something buoyant such as an empty plastic bottle in front of you to help you float.
What to do if you see someone drowning?
1. Rescue on the shore by the method of "shouting, stretching and throwing".
- "Call": shout for help and seek help from more people around you;
- "Call": call the police at 110, 119, 120, etc. for help;
- "Stretch": Under the condition of ensuring one's own safety, hand branches, sticks, bamboo poles, etc. to the person who falls into the water;
- "Throwing": Throwing floating objects such as foam blocks, lifebuoys, and sealed empty plastic bottles to the drowning person to help them float for help.
2. If the conditions for launching the rescue are met, the rescuer should approach the drowning person from behind, and then hold up his body, let his head out of the water, and swim sideways to shore.
