The car is based on GEA's intelligent new energy architecture, which is slightly smaller than the Galaxy L7, adopts pure electric drive, and is equipped with Geely's self-developed Aegis short knife battery for the first time. According to the positioning of the new car, the Galaxy E5 will directly compete with the BYD Yuan PLUS after its launch.
The salesman mentioned that the Galaxy E5 has now opened blind booking, and consumers can enjoy the right to pick up the car first by paying a deposit of 1000 yuan. The Galaxy User Center also held a price guessing activity, and recognized the price range of 99,800-139,800 yuan predicted by netizens. The design features of the Galaxy E5 include split headlight clusters on either side of the closed grille and LED daytime running lights, which are similar in shape to the Galaxy E8. A trapezoidal blacked-out grille underneath the grille is fitted with concealed door handles and low-drag wheels on the sides, while black trim strips surround the windows. At the rear, there is a continuous light cluster and rear wing, with high-mounted brake lights integrated in the middle of the rear wing.
Inside, the Galaxy E5 is equipped with a floating center display, a full LCD instrument cluster, and a head-up display (HUD). In terms of power and battery technology, the Galaxy E5 adopts CTB battery-body integration technology, equipped with a single motor drive, and has a maximum power of 160kW. In terms of batteries, they are matched with 49.52 kWh and 60.22 kWh lithium iron phosphate batteries, respectively, and have an all-electric range of 440 km and 530 km respectively under comprehensive operating conditions.
The launch of the Geely Galaxy E5 will further enrich Geely's product line in the pure electric vehicle market and launch fierce market competition with competitors such as BYD Yuan PLUS.
