On the afternoon of June 8, Shahbaz and his entourage came to Yangling Demonstration Zone, visited the SCO Modern Agriculture Exchange Center, and walked into the Yangling Smart Agriculture Demonstration Park to visit the plant factory.
Pakistan's Minister of Planning and Development, Aishan Iqbal, said in an interview: "I would like to commend the leading position of the Yangling Smart Agriculture Demonstration Park, which has translated President Xi Jinping's instructions on agricultural cooperation into reality and promoted agricultural production." In recent years, relying on the construction of the SCO agricultural base, Yangling Demonstration Zone has established good cooperation and exchange relations with the Ministry of Agriculture of Pakistan and other institutions.
In terms of agricultural education and training, more than 120 Pakistani government officials, university experts, private enterprises and farmers participated in agricultural technology training in Yangling, relying on training platforms such as the Ministry of Commerce's Dry Agriculture Aid Training Base and the SCO Agricultural Base. At present, there are 142 Pakistani students studying at Northwest A&F University, including 139 doctoral students, 2 master's students and 1 senior scholar.
In terms of agricultural research cooperation and technology demonstration, Northwest A&F University cooperates closely with Pakistani universities and scientific research institutions. Ten universities and research institutes, including Pakistan Science Foundation, Jinnah University, University of Lahore, Faisalabad Agricultural University, Kehat University of Technology, Bahadine Zakaria University, Haripur University, Sindh Agricultural University, Rawalpindi Agricultural University and Ayouba Agricultural Research Institute, are members of the Silk Road Agricultural Education and Technology Innovation Alliance. China-Pakistan Bio-Healthy Agriculture Overseas Science and Technology Demonstration Park and China-Pakistan Agricultural Bioresources Research Center. Northwest A&F University, together with the Pakistani subsidiary of China Machinery Engineering Corporation and other enterprises, and Jinnah University, Faisalabad Agricultural University, Sindh Agricultural University, Lahore University, Haripur University, Bahad al-Din Zakaria University and Ayoubo Agricultural Research Institute have jointly established the China-Pakistan Bio-Health Agriculture Overseas Science and Technology Demonstration Park and the China-Pakistan Agricultural Biological Resources Research Center, which integrate scientific research, demonstration and promotion, talent training, academic exchanges and product trade. The two sides mainly focus on the core technologies of bio-health agriculture, namely nano-biotechnology and earthworm biotechnology, to carry out forward-looking and innovative research, and conduct trials and demonstrations in the production of bio-healthy agricultural products.
