In order to further improve the first-aid knowledge and skills of community residents and improve the awareness of self-help and mutual rescue of residents in the jurisdiction, recently, Changqing Road Community and Zhangjiakou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine held a traditional Chinese medicine first-aid science popularization activity into the community.
At the event site, the medical staff of the emergency department of the Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine explained the basic theories and operation methods of traditional Chinese medicine first aid for sudden cardiorespiratory arrest to the community residents, and introduced the essentials of acupoint compression, scraping, cupping and other operations, so that the residents could understand how to use traditional Chinese medicine methods for preliminary treatment in an emergency. Subsequently, the medical staff demonstrated and explained the operation method of manual cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and the residents actively participated in the operation under the professional guidance of the medical staff.
After the event, the medical team also conducted free clinics for residents, free blood pressure, blood sugar, electrocardiogram and other items, and health consultation, which was well received by the community residents.
This activity spread the culture of traditional Chinese medicine, and also built a platform for community residents to learn the knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine first aid, so that residents can master first aid skills through personal experience and enhance their ability to respond to emergencies. Next, the Changqing Road community will continue to hold various forms of health science popularization activities with rich content to create a good social atmosphere of "everyone learns first aid, everyone knows first aid".
