In order to actively respond to the requirements of the "Emergency Notice of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage on Strengthening Disaster Prevention, Mitigation and Relief Work in the Main Flood Season", recently, the Chongqing Hongyan Revolutionary History and Culture Center attaches great importance to the safety and flood prevention of cultural relics, gives full play to the role of front-line cultural relics safety inspectors, strengthens daily inspections and inspections, conducts all-round monitoring of potential disaster points such as landslides and debris flows, and does a good job in flood prevention in advance to protect the safety of cultural relics.

It is understood that in 2020, the flood peak of the Jialing River crossed, causing the inundation of some areas of the exhibition hall at the former site of the "Xinhua Daily" main hall and the collapse of the wall, and the Hongyan Cultural Center quickly carried out special rectification, and from 2021 to 2022, drainage ditches, dams, reservoirs and other drainage facilities were built to fundamentally solve the problem of waterlogging.

The relevant staff of the Safety Management Office of the Hongyan Cultural Center said that this year, the Hongyan Cultural Center focused on the improvement of emergency preparedness and response capabilities. Measures such as comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the drainage system, regular cleaning of drainage outlets, procurement of sufficient flood control materials, and organization of emergency drills ensure that emergency disposal can be carried out quickly and effectively. This efficient and orderly emergency management mechanism provides a strong guarantee for the safety of cultural relics during the flood.
In addition, in order to ensure the unimpeded flow of information during the flood season, the Safety Management Division strictly implements a 24-hour duty system. The personnel on duty need to pay close attention to weather changes, and receive and convey disaster weather warning information in a timely manner. At the same time, strengthen the discipline management on duty to ensure that the personnel on duty can stick to their posts and be ready to respond to emergencies at any time.

In addition to the special management of the exhibition hall at the former site of the Xinhua Daily, the Hongyan Cultural Center has also actively carried out a full range of cultural relics safety and disaster prevention and mitigation work. Through the effective management of dangerous rock disasters in areas such as the former site of the Southern Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the Eighth Route Army Office in Chongqing and the former site of the concentration camp of the "Sino-US Cooperation Institute", the safety line of cultural relics has been further consolidated.
In the next step, Hongyan Cultural Center will continue to strengthen the management and construction of the safety team, improve the level of safety and fire fighting skills, regularly organize emergency drills and training activities, and strive to build an influential, powerful, distinctive and effective emergency force team, so as to build an indestructible safety line for Hongyan cultural relics.
