On August 2, the swimming competition at the Paris Olympics continued. In terms of overall results, Sun Jiajun and Wang Changhao ranked 19th and 26th respectively, and unfortunately missed the semi-finals.
Women's 200m individual medley - Yu Yiting and Ye Shiwen both qualified
Yu Yiting played in group 3, after the first half of the 100 meters, she ranked second in 1:01.16, 150 meters once fell to the fourth position, and in the last 50 meters, Yu Yiting regained the second place, finishing the race in 2:10.28.
Ye Shiwen competed in group 5, Ye Shiwen once ranked 6th in the first 50 meters, and after turning around in 50 meters, Ye Shiwen made a strong effort to catch up with the second place, and then she maintained the second position until the end of the competition, with a score of 2:10.96.
In terms of overall results, Yu Yiting and Ye Shiwen ranked 2nd and 8th respectively, and both entered the semifinals at 3:31 a.m. Beijing time on August 3.
Women's 800m freestyle - Li Bingjie ranked 9th and missed the final
Li Bingjie played in Group 1, and in the first 200 meters, Li Bingjie was not in a hurry to exert her strength, ranking 7th in the group. After 200 meters, Li Bingjie moved up one place to sixth place. After the 500m, Li Bingjie moved up one place again, but Li Bingjie was unable to improve her time again after that, finishing the race in fifth place with a time of 8:27.92.
In terms of overall results, Li Bingjie ranked 9th and unfortunately missed the final.
Men's and women's mixed 4×100m medley relay - the luxury lineup of the Chinese team entered the final
In the men's and women's mixed 4×100m medley relay preliminaries, the Chinese team sent a luxurious lineup of Xu Jiayu, Tang Qianting, Zhang Yufei and Pan Zhanle. In the competition, the Chinese team started in the 4th lane of the second group, the first baton Xu Jiayu took 53.16 seconds, and the third completed the baton handover. After Tang Qianting swam 100 meters in the second stroke, the Chinese team dropped to 5th place. After the third round of Zhang Yufei, the Chinese team dropped to 7th place. In the last stick, Pan Zhanle fought hard to catch up, and chased from 7th to 2nd in the last 50 meters.
In terms of overall results, the Chinese team ranked 3rd among all teams in the preliminaries in 3:42.26 and successfully entered the final at 3:58 a.m. Beijing time on August 4.
