On the summer weekend, 218 break dancers from 12 clubs in Shanghai gathered at Qingpu Bailian Outlets. The two-day 1st National Fitness Competition (East China, Shanghai) Street Dance Trials and the 4th Shanghai Civic Games Shanghai Break Dance Club Competition (Bailian Outlet Station) ended on August 4.
As one of the four young sports introduced at this year's Paris Olympics, breaking has the common attributes of social sports and competitive sports. The Olympic breakdancing competition will be held on August 9 at the Place de la Concorde, with Chinese B-girls Liu Qingyi, Zeng Yingying and B-boy Qi Xiangyu taking part in the competition. The Paris Olympics ignited everyone's enthusiasm for paying attention to and participating in breakdancing, and the "Bailian Dancers, Restless Summer" Breaking Competition inherited the Olympic spirit and paid tribute to the Olympians.
The event responds to the integration of culture, business, sports, tourism and exhibition, and focuses on the theme of the Civic Games "Healthy Shanghai, Everyone Comes to the Games", the goal of building a world-famous sports city and a healthy Shanghai, and promoting the deep integration of national fitness and national health.
The organizers said that they hope to show the vitality of the city through the platform of the first National Fitness Competition (East China), present a high-quality level of competition, and insist on holding the event around the masses. During the competition, a large number of citizens stopped to watch the game around the venue.
The competition is guided by the Organizing Committee of the 4th Shanghai Civic Games, hosted by the Shanghai Social Sports Management Center (Shanghai Sports Competition Management Center), supported by the Qingpu District Sports Bureau and the Qingpu District Sports Federation, and undertaken by the Shanghai DanceSport Association and Shanghai Bailian Department Store Management Co., Ltd. - Outlet Division.
