Call for papers for the special issue of "GNSS Punctuality and Timing".
Time synchronization plays an important role in the field of national infrastructure. The national economy, national defense security, scientific research and other fields all require high-precision time synchronization services. GNSS has the advantages of high accuracy, wide coverage, and low receiver cost, and the timing services it provides are widely used in various fields. GNSS punctuality and timing have become an important topic in the field of satellite navigation today, which is of great significance to the country's informatization construction and economic development.
In order to display the latest research results in the field of GNSS punctuality and timing at home and abroad, the editorial department of GPS invited Professor Zhu Xiangwei of Sun Yat-sen University, Professor Yao Yibin of Wuhan University, and researchers from 54 institutes of China Electronics Technology to serve as the editors-in-chief of the special issue. Professor Guo Wenfei of Wuhan University, researcher Li Shifeng of the National Time Service Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhang Jingkui, senior engineer of China Electronics 54 Institute, and Liu Yang of Sun Yat-sen University served as editorial board members of the special issue. It is planned to launch a special issue on "GNSS punctuality and timing" in the first half of 2025. We warmly welcome domestic and foreign experts and scholars in related research fields to submit high-quality research papers, and pay attention to the publication of this special issue.

3. GNSS timing and time-frequency transmission technology;
4. GNSS time and frequency measurement and calibration technology;
5. GNSS time synchronization attack detection and suppression technology;
6. Application of GNSS timing service in national critical infrastructure;
7. GNSS complementary time synchronization technology.
Editor-in-Chief of Special Issue
Zhu Xiangwei is a professor at Sun Yat-sen University and assistant to the dean of the School of Electronic and Communication Engineering. Chief Scientist of the National Key R&D Program, Professor of Pengcheng Laboratory, State Key Laboratory of Space-Earth Integrated Information Technology, Guangdong Laboratory of Southern Marine Science and Technology, Director of Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Navigation and Communication Integration, and National Leading Talent of Shenzhen. At present, he is mainly engaged in the research of "Beidou Integrated Positioning, Navigation and Timing, Intelligent and Trusted Navigation of Unmanned Systems, New Navigation and Communication System Devices and Navigation, Communication and Perception Fusion Technology", presided over 1 national key research and development project, 3 national key model engineering projects, more than 10 major national science and technology projects, 3 natural science foundation projects (1 key project) and a number of industry-university-research cooperation, insisted on carrying out research for academic frontiers, major national needs, and economic and social development, and published more than 140 papers. He has applied for more than 80 invention patents and won the first prize of military scientific and technological progress, the first prize of surveying and mapping scientific and technological progress award, and the special prize of Hunan patent award.
Yao Yibin, Hongyi Distinguished Professor, Dean of the School of Surveying and Mapping, Dean of the School of Surveying and Mapping, Second-level Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Wuhan University. He is a distinguished professor of the Major Talent Program of the Ministry of Education, an expert enjoying the special allowance of the State Council, an outstanding talent of the new century of the Ministry of Education, a young and middle-aged scientific and technological innovation leading talent of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and a leading scientific and technological talent of the Ministry of Natural Resources. He is mainly engaged in the research of satellite navigation and positioning and its innovative applications. He has presided over 1 national key R&D project, 1 project, 2 national 863 program projects, 1 key project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 5 general projects and 1 strategic research project, and is a key member of the National Natural Science Foundation of China Basic Science Center project and the National Natural Science Foundation of China Innovation Research Group Project. He has published more than 200 SCI papers, obtained more than 30 authorized invention patents, won the China Youth Science and Technology Award, the Hubei Youth May Fourth Medal, the Baosteel Outstanding Teacher Award, and won the second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award of Higher Education, the first prize of the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award, the first prize of Hubei Province Science and Technology Progress Award, the first prize of Surveying and Mapping Science and Technology Progress Award, the first prize of Satellite Navigation and Positioning Science and Technology Progress Award and many other awards.
Wei Baoguo, researcher, doctoral supervisor, director of the State Key Laboratory of Satellite Navigation System and Equipment Technology of China Electronics Network Communications Research Institute, fellow of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, vice president of the China Satellite Navigation and Positioning Association, and member of the IAG China Committee. He has been engaged in the research, equipment development and application of Beidou satellite navigation system and integrated PNT (positioning, navigation, timing) technology for a long time, and has successively presided over the 13th and 14th Five-Year Plan "Earth Observation and Navigation Field" national key research and development projects, published 4 monographs such as "Time Unified Technology of Space-Earth Integrated Information Network", published more than 50 academic papers, and authorized more than 90 invention patents. He was awarded the National May Day Labor Medal and the first national "Most Beautiful Science and Technology Worker" and other honorary titles. It has won more than 10 awards, including the National Science and Technology Progress Award, the China Satellite Navigation Science and Technology Progress Award, the Military Science and Technology Progress Award, the Hebei Science and Technology Progress Award, and the Chinese Institute of Electronics Technology Invention Award.

Guo Wenfei is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Wuhan University, and his main research interests are Beidou high-precision timing, GNSS receivers, low-orbit satellite navigation, and related communication and signal processing. He has presided over or participated in more than 20 projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key R&D Program, China's second-generation satellite navigation major project, and the Natural Science Foundation of Hubei Province, published more than 30 SCI papers as the first/corresponding author, authorized more than 20 national invention patents, and won the second prize of national teaching achievements, the first prize of Hubei Provincial Teaching Achievements, the special prize of China Satellite Navigation and Positioning Science and Technology Progress Award, and the second prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education.
Li Shifeng, Ph.D., researcher, doctoral supervisor, is currently the deputy director of the Timing Methods and Technology Research Office of the National Time Service Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the secretary-general of the Timing and Time Professional Committee of the China Satellite Navigation and Positioning Association, and the deputy chief engineer of the high-precision ground-based timing system of the national major scientific and technological infrastructure. Engaged in ground-based radio timing methods, timing signal simulation research and timing instruments and equipment development and other related work, presided over the national major scientific and technological infrastructure - BPL long-wave timing monitoring system upgrading, timing signal simulator development, Chinese Academy of Sciences Western Light and other topics, responsible for a number of national "13th Five-Year" and "14th Five-Year" planning of land-based timing navigation project demonstration, published more than 20 papers, authorized more than 10 invention patents, the research results obtained on the mainland land-based radio timing system construction, Function expansion and application promotion are of great significance.
Zhang Jingkui, a senior engineer, has long been engaged in the research of satellite navigation high-precision positioning and time synchronization technology, system and hardware development, and has undertaken more than 10 tasks such as the national key research and development plan of high-precision time and frequency transmission and the major special projects of Beidou, and has won the important achievement award of the Beidou three-year action plan of the central enterprise and the special prize of the satellite navigation and positioning science and technology progress award. He has published more than 15 academic papers and authorized 8 invention patents.
Yang Liu, postdoctoral fellow at Sun Yat-sen University, co-supervisor Professor Zhu Xiangwei. His research interests include satellite navigation and positioning and timing, precision measurement of time and frequency, and high-confidence timing. Participated in the general project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the key technology research project of the Beidou integrated positioning, navigation and timing system, etc. He has published 5 SCI papers as the first author in academic journals such as IEEE TIM, GPS Solutions, Metrologia, etc., and applied for 2 national invention patents.

Essay Requirements:
1) The paper submitted by the author must be an unpublished paper, and must not involve state secrets, and pass the confidentiality review of the unit; 2) The manuscript should have a prominent theme, concise text, novel ideas, correct arguments, sufficient arguments, reliable data, clear charts, reasonable design and experiments, and focus on the author's interpretation and refinement of the problem, or the interpretation of the solutions and results of important problems in the field, or innovative views and contributions; 3) The submitted paper has not been published in an official publication, and there is no phenomenon of multiple submissions of one manuscript, so as to ensure the legitimacy of the submitted article (no plagiarism, plagiarism, infringement and other bad behaviors).
