After professional laboratory identification, the organism was identified as an Australian beetle, a quarantine pest, which was intercepted for the first time in Shanxi Province. Other pests intercepted included six species of ghost spiders, round arachnids, red-necked cockroaches, fire ants, swollen-legged bees, and small rod nematodes.
