The size of the green whistle is closer to that of the purple bamboo, the wings are slightly narrower, the body is narrower, and it is slightly smaller than the green bamboo. The sound is close to the purple bamboo and is legato. However, the abdomen of the green whistle does not hang a black line, which can be distinguished from the purple bamboo. Some merchants listed it as a silver whistle bamboo frog, and their biggest difference was that there were no black spots on the green whistle and could not climb glass. Both of these points are characteristic of the silver whistle, which is very good to distinguish.

The body color is pale yellow or brownish , and there are also pale green face individuals suspected of being broad-winged tree crickets. The call resembles green bamboo, but with a slight drag. At the moment I have not heard the chirping of a truly certain broad-winged tree cricket, only a suspected chirp. However, the above suspected sound is basically in line with the description, and should be the sound of the broad-winged tree cricket.

The forewing reaches the end of the leg segment of the hind foot. There are 6 longitudinal veins in the dorsal area of the forewing wing veins, with many transverse veins, forming multiple rectangular wing chambers, and the sc veins in the lateral area have 8 branches. The hindwings are longer than the forewings and extend to the end of the tail whiskers. The back of the body is yellowish brown and the ventral surface is black. The frontal area of the head and the buccal area behind the compound eye are black; from the top of the head to the posterior edge of the dorsal plate of the anterior thorax, it has a thin yellow-brown line along the deciduous line, with a black-brown longitudinal stripe on each side; the lateral area of the dorsal plate of the anterior thorax is black-brown. The jaw whiskers, lower lip whiskers, antennae, and the rest of the dorsal plate of the head and thorax are yellowish brown. The forewings are transparent, and the front and hindwings are yellowish brown. Three pairs of pectoral feet are yellowish brown, and the female has a distinct black marking at 2/5 of the back of the hindfoot leg segment from the end. Females laying lobes are yellowish brown with black ends.
