The Japanese name of the manga "Cat's Eye Three Sisters" is "キャッツ♥アイ" = "CAT'S EYE", which means "cat's eye", and the name of the manga "Cat's Eye" comes from the way the three sisters committed crimes in the story.
In the comic story, the three sisters of the next life run the coffee shop "Cat's Eye" during the day, and at night they wear night clothes, steal the famous paintings treasured by the museum, and after stealing the famous paintings, they will leave a "cat's eye" card, so this mysterious clue has become the name of the manga "Three Sisters of Cat's Eye" (The Japanese original "Cat's Eye"), which actually has a deeper meaning.

Born in 1959 in Kokura City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Hojo spent his elementary school in Hachiman, Kitakyushu, where he went through Izumidai Elementary School, Komi Junior High School, the private Kyushu Industrial High School, and Kyushu Sangyo University, and began to create manga while in Kitakyushu City, and then settled in Tokyo as a manga artist.
Hojoji has loved painting since he was very young, and Hojo's mother said that when he was in kindergarten, Hojoji drew his hands in front of a mirror.
Hojo's older brother is good at copying anime characters, on the contrary, Hojo is not good at copying, and has often drawn his favorite paintings since he was a child.
Probably because of his poor health, for the diminutive Hojoji, painting is the only means of expression that can make the people around him pay attention.
Although I also like to watch manga, because I am often immersed in watching TV, I actually prefer to watch TV than manga.
The first time he drew manga was when he was in the first grade of elementary school, Hojo announced to his friends who were obsessed with Ultraman Q that his manga was more interesting than Ultraman's.
However, in the second grade of elementary school, the class teacher said to HojoJi, "If you want to draw, draw a picture that suits your age," he belittled Hojo's manga, because Hojoji's manga concept exceeded that of his peers.
For Hojo, this was a serious blow, his paintings were degraded, which meant that his efforts were completely denied, and for a long time afterward, Hojoji became disgusted with painting, and he was afraid of attracting the attention of others, and closed the door of his heart.
Hojoji, who "closed the door of his heart", began to read a lot of novels, and by the middle school age, he had read a lot of novels, especially the brain-opening science fiction life.
In addition, Takami Junior High School in Hachiman City recommended a movie, which became a turning point in Hojo's interests, and the work that made Hojoji start to pay attention to movies was after Sovia Roland starred in "I Girasoli" (1970) and began to watch various movies.
However, because it costs money to watch movies, you can only watch them in the cinema once a month, and high-quality foreign movies have become the first choice of Hojo Division.
In the 3rd grade of junior high school, Hojoji had a friend who aimed as a manga artist and struggled day and night, and then Hojoji did not mention the name of this friend, it is likely that he did not become a manga artist, at that time, Hojoji joined the manga fandom club at the suggestion of his friend, but he felt that the life of a manga artist who drew manga every week was impossible for him.
After that, Hojoji began to contribute, because once he won the prize, he could get a prize money, he voted for almost every genre, and for other time, he continued to maintain a strong interest in movies and novels.
After graduating from high school, Hojo entered Fukuoka City Kyushu Sangyo University to begin a boarding life, and he was admitted to the Faculty of Arts to study advertising design, and he wanted to work in film-related work in the future.
Because of the difficulty of boarding life, Hojoji learned that the prize for the Tezuka Prize was 1 million yen and decided to submit it.
Before that, although I knew that there was a Tezuka Prize, I didn't know that it was sponsored by Shueisha of Weekly Shonen JUMP, and I hadn't read the magazine.
The submitted manga Space Angel received a 200,000 yen prize for admission, which became the opportunity for a manga artist to debut, and Shueisha's Nobuhiko Horie (also the editor of Hokuto Shinken) became the responsible editor of Hojoji.
Later, in 1981, HojoJi, who wanted to do film-related work, made his debut as a manga artist by chance and lived the "unconscious" life he had at the beginning, encouraged by the encouragement of an award for his submissions during his college years.

Hojo's first feature-length manga, The Three Sisters of Cat's Eye, although the story is very interesting, does not meet the ideal manga in Hojo's mind, Hojoji has always wanted to create a movie-like manga, whether it is a plot story or a style of painting.
The main line of "Three Sisters of Cat's Eye" is more intriguing, the German collector Heinz collected some precious paintings, but because of this, he was killed, in order to protect his family, Heinz died inexplicably in World War II.
Heinz's three daughters, the Three Sisters, have been living in Japan, and the three sisters learned the secret of their father's life from the extension of the deadline for the hotel they had always booked.
Therefore, the three sisters disguised themselves as thieves in the middle of the night and began to collect famous paintings that were once in their father's collection, hoping to rely on these clues to find the whereabouts of their missing father.
The three sisters' next life tears, afterlife pupils, and afterlife love were designed by Hojoji as "Imperial Sister", "Beautiful Girl", and "Cute Girl" to attract different readers, among them, the little sister fell in love with the criminal police officer Toshio Uchikai, but because of the identity of the other party's criminal policeman, he was often angry and lost his temper with Toshio.
At the beginning of the second volume of the Cat's Eye Three Sisters manga, Hojoji wrote these words:
I want to meet with the person who is thinking about it, and between people, there is often a certain feeling that I want to meet with that person! This feeling is especially strong when time and space are blocked.
The hometown in the dream is still the same, and the only thing I miss most is that person... I want to see his smiling face and hear his voice –whoever it is, there must have been such a time.
In fact, when it came time to officially debut, Hojoji was still influenced by the movie he first came into contact with- "The Second Moon".
In Italy during World War II, husbands and newlywed wives were left alone in search of their lovers, and have since been heard from, and after the war, the wives embarked on a journey alone in search of a lover. However, when his wife crossed thousands of kilometers and worked hard to find her husband, he had already married and had children in Russia.
So, the wife left angrily, returned to Italy and soon married, a few years later, the husband returned to Italy, looking for her to hope to continue the frontier, but it is not human, the two people can no longer go back to the past, can only hug each other and cry, reminiscing like water.
In the end, the two people who were originally in love with each other finally lived their own lives without intersection.
However, the story of "Three Sisters of Cat's Eye" obviously cannot play the high standard of Hojo's twists and turns in the movie-like plot, so in the creation process of "Three Sisters of Cat's Eye", Hojo Ishiji was extremely painful.
Although the main line of the "Cat's Eye Three Sisters" comic is the slightly tragic introduction of dad's anonymity to protect the family, most of the story is full of happiness and nonsense humor, and in real life, such an interesting life is very rare.
In 1984, "The Three Sisters of Cat's Eye" finally ended the serialization, and after a while, Hojoji finally stepped towards the manga in his mind - "City Hunter", also translated as "Detective Han Yuryo", this manga story is bizarre and twisty, and each small independent story is as fascinating as a wonderful movie, whether it is the style of the picture or the concept of the story.
After years of hard work, Hojoji finally achieved his dream of becoming a "film" worker, a film-level manga creator.
