Lightning Miracle: Genius is destined to be lonely, and angels do not exist in the world

author:Boiling wine on this dynasty

When I wrote Forrest Gump, I thought of "Lightning Miracle", if Forrest Gump represents luck, then lightning represents misfortune.

The protagonist, Jeremy, is a hairless sixteen-year-old boy who is hairless like an albino patient, whose mother was struck by lightning while pregnant with him and died giving birth to him. Jeremy absorbs the energy of lightning in her mother's body, carries an electric current in her body, and is born with memories. His father, because of his unusual appearance, hated and abandoned him the first time he saw him. Jeremy was raised by his grandparents, who kept him under house arrest in the basement for sixteen years to protect him, until his grandparents died one after another and Jeremy was discovered.

Lightning Miracle: Genius is destined to be lonely, and angels do not exist in the world

The story begins here, Jeremy, who was brought back to society by the police and social workers, was ridiculed and teased by his classmates, and what impressed me more was the scene in the film where the harassed Jeremy, and after Jeremy performed to everyone, the scene where the expression changed from expectation to loss was really sad.

Lightning Miracle: Genius is destined to be lonely, and angels do not exist in the world

Presumably geniuses are destined to be lonely, and angels are destined not to belong to the human world. Jeremy has a super high IQ, but he is abandoned by his father, feared by his relatives, and rejected by the people around him, and the whole film is full of heartache for Jeremy. His wish is so simple, just want to go home, but it is broken again and again, and at the end of the film, when Jeremy opens the door to see the empty room, I seem to hear the hope being crushed. This is sometimes the case in the world, which is obviously only the simplest expectation, but in the end it often becomes a luxury.

Lightning Miracle: Genius is destined to be lonely, and angels do not exist in the world

The policeman's wife says that Jeremy is an angel, and jeremy does fly into the sky at the end of the movie. When there is no place for him in the world, returning may be the best ending. The kind and simple child who hid in the dark basement finally did not have to be hurt by this society anymore. Because it is too clean, it is not tolerated in the world, what a sadness and helplessness.

Lightning Miracle: Genius is destined to be lonely, and angels do not exist in the world

This film allowed me to see the human instinct to fear and repel the unknown, because Jeremy has the ability to read minds, because Jeremy has a superior IQ, so everyone around him is afraid to reject him. Fear obscures people's eyes, making people unable to distinguish between good and evil, and unable to distinguish between right and wrong. Fear makes people around him not see that Jeremy is also an ordinary person, it will be sad to be abandoned by his father, it will be sad to see a deer killed, it will be lost when he is rejected by everyone, and he will show envy in his eyes when he sees his peers with normal skin color and hair. His ability has taught him too much knowledge, and he has seen too much humanity, so he is lonely.

Lightning Miracle: Genius is destined to be lonely, and angels do not exist in the world

Compared with Forrest Gump, I can't help but sigh, sometimes knowing too much is really not necessarily a good thing, life should be confused a little, too real sometimes tends to make us ignore the happiness at hand, tired of others, why bother? I just live too seriously, that's why I live so tired, and I hope that I can live a little simpler in the next life.
