Several new remote control combat modules such as the Horned Whale will be successively installed in the Russian military equipment sequence from next year

On October 6, Electronics Technology Corporation (part of the Ural Carriage Manufacturing Plant of the Russian technology group) plans to mass-produce several ship-borne and land-mounted long-range remote control combat modules such as "Horned Whale", "Hunter" and "Prometheus" from 2022.

Igor Alfanassiyev, the company's general manager, declared: "By the end of this year, we will do all the preparatory work for the mass production of equipment. Specifically, it will begin at the end of November this year. From next year, we will move to mass production. At present, the enterprise is in contact with the relevant departments of the Ministry of National Defense to discuss issues related to equipment manufacturing contracts. ”

The "Horned Whale" type equipment is the first long-range remote control combat module independently developed in Russia, which is mainly designed and developed for warships and ships. As a mainstream version of the Hunter-type equipment, mass production has begun to be organized.

The Hunter is one of the modern russian-made remotely piloted combat modules. The main equipment mainly relies on two planes to support the balance, even during the march can maintain a smooth, accurate hit any target within a kilometer distance. The module is also equipped with a TV camera, thermal instrument and laser rangefinder.

"Hunter" made its debut at the 2018- Army Forum. Various retrofit configurations were subsequently developed for different equipment designs. Due to the common characteristics of this equipment, it can be equipped with special technical equipment of various branches of the armed forces, including engineers and the army.

The "Horned Whale" type equipment is a modified version of the "Hunter" version of the equipment used to be used on ships. Equipped with a "lanyard" type 12.7 mm machine gun, in addition, it includes ancillary equipment such as a day camera for aiming, an automatic target tracker, a thermal instrument, and a rangefinder.

"Prometheus" type equipment is a modern monitoring equipment system for key national protection targets such as law enforcement departments at all levels and important enterprises. The system includes 16 remotely controlled combat modules. It mainly includes monitoring the surrounding conditions of the target, lighting and, if necessary, sending troops to protect the target.
