Holding the American flag in his hand, pedaling an electric surfboard... On July 4, local time, Facebook founder Zuckerberg celebrated American Independence Day with such a video described by the media as "weird".

Netizens' comments on the video on social media were also mostly negative, and the term "Zuckerberg" once rushed to Twitter.

Just at the end of last month, Facebook, which was deeply involved in antitrust allegations, "escaped" and successfully dismissed the allegations of the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and the company's market value exceeded trillion US dollars. The US media ridiculed that Zuckerberg did "have a reason to celebrate Independence Day."

According to the Consumer News and Business Channel (CNBC), the background music used in Zuckerberg's video is "Take Me Home, Country Roads" sung by the well-known American singer John Denver.

In the picture, the billionaire is holding an American flag at sunset, pedaling an electric surfboard, surfing on the water. Zuckerberg posted the video on his company's Instagram platform, and within a few hours, it had more than 800,000 views.

However, the evaluation of the video by the American media and netizens is generally negative. The well-known financial media CNBC directly imitated Trump's campaign slogan "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) in the report, describing Zuckerberg's video as "Make America Weird Again" (Make America Weird Again).

Market Watch, another well-known media outlet in the financial sector, bluntly said that the video was "odd" (odd). The report also linked the video to news of Facebook's successful rejection of antitrust allegations, saying Zuckerberg "had a reason to celebrate" Independence Day.

Last December, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and New York State Attorney General Letitia James led dozens of state attorneys generals against Facebook, accusing the tech giant of violating antitrust laws by abusing its market presence in the social networking space to crack down on smaller competitors.

But Judge James Boasberg of the District Court for the District of Columbia approved Facebook's request on June 28, dismissing previous monopoly allegations.

According to Judge Posberg, the FTC failed to prove that Facebook had monopoly power in the social networking marketplace in its antitrust lawsuit against Facebook, "and these allegations do not even provide an estimate or range of Facebook's market share at any time in the past decade, ultimately unable to reasonably prove that Facebook has market power."

However, the ruling, while rejecting the complaint, did not dismiss the case, meaning the FTC could file an amended antitrust lawsuit against Facebook within the next 30 days, by July 29.

In contrast, another lawsuit filed by states was dismissed outright, alleging that Facebook violated antitrust laws by crowding out smaller competitors by buying up competitors, such as Instagram for $1 billion and WhatsApp for $19 billion.

The victory is significant for Facebook, because if it loses, it is likely to lead to Facebook stripping Instagram and WhatsApp.

Because of this incident, coupled with Zuckerberg's previous "wind review", his video received many negative reviews and ridicule on social networks, and once rushed to Twitter hot search.
