The thousand-year-old village of Miyan, located in the foothills of Siming Mountain, the western end of the Zhangshui Basin, east of Dalei Mountain, south of Honey Rock Mountain, north of Kyaukkou Reservoir, west of Maoyao Mountain Jinjiling, was the revolutionary base area of the "Third Five-Year" detachment of the New Fourth Army during the War of Resistance Against Japan.
The terrain here is dangerous, and it has always been a place where soldiers and families must fight; today's honey rock, with four distinct seasons, is well preserved in the traditional architectural community of the village, original, like a paradise.
In 2005, Miyan was selected as one of the first ten municipal historical and cultural villages in Ningbo, and in 2014, it was shortlisted in the list of traditional Chinese villages. Wan'an Bridge, GuifuTang, the former site of the founding conference of the Yinxian Democratic Government, and the Yinxian Communist Labor University in the village are district-level cultural relics protection units.

Zhangxi River
About 2 kilometers west of Zhangshui Town District, is the Honey Rock Village, which is known as "Four Bright Lock Key, Two Throats". It is like a key pass, guarding the foothills of siming mountains, and is one of the main passages into the Siming mountains in Yinzhou. After entering the honey rock, the mountain road on the left winds up to the "Big Stick Tin" scenic spots such as 401 Dongtian, Lijiakeng and Cherry Blossom Garden; the right hand road, through the village, leads to Kyaukkou Reservoir, Yuyao Middle Village and other places.
Huang'ao Creek
In the middle of summer afternoon, the ancient village is quiet. Before it was time for the farmers to take a nap, the chirping of knowledge was always in their ears, and from time to time they could hear a few small talk between neighbors.
Street lane
The village is surrounded by mountains, the streets and alleys are along the mountain road, winding and winding, and the cottages are built along the road, which is its own pattern. The village has not been developed on a large scale, leaving a clear original ecological style, from the Ming and Qing dynasties to the Republic of China to the beginning of the liberation to the present, the style buildings of various eras are intertwined, but they are so harmonious.

Honey Rock Mountain is rich in grass, strange peaks, straight clouds. There is a pool at the bottom of the mountain, the pool is nearly ten meters deep, and the water is clear to the bottom. The fish in the pond are named "honey light fish" because of their honey juice. In the local area, there is a saying that "there are thousands of pounds of honey on the top and ten thousand cartons of fish on the bottom". The process of two leeks is more than 100 miles, like two dragons circling the mountain, after thousands of twists and turns, it is gathered here, so it is called "Kyaukkou", also known as "double leek throat".

"The most famous thing in Miyan Village is the Double Leek Mountain House, which is the characteristic building of the whole village, the Double Leek Mountain House is divided into upper, middle and lower houses, and there are many hall houses, the front of the hall is in the middle, and the two sides are arranged according to the leek characters, so the name double leek house." Fan Liren, cultural adviser of Miyan Village, said that more than 80% of such ancient houses have remained in their original appearance, and the basic pattern has not changed, which has the attitude of "raising in the deep boudoir and no one knows". Fan Liren proudly said that if it is properly developed and utilized, even among many famous ancient villages in China, Miyan Village has its own unique features.
Double Leek Mountain House
Miyan is also a famous "red mountain village" in Yinzhou District, and it still retains the former site of the founding meeting of the Yinxian Democratic Government, which is also the former residence of Ying Guixin, a celebrity of the Republic of China. "Now, this place serves as a part of the function of the village cultural auditorium, and the villagers will choose this place to give party lessons and patriotic education at the town and village levels." Ying Guoping, secretary of the village party branch, said. The old site also doubles as a village elderly activity room, and on the wall is the genealogy of the Honey Rock Ying clan.

In the lanes of the village, the cool wind through the hall makes people forget the hot summer heat. Wash horse pond between a village house, also known as lotus pond, in the past for a long time, it played a role in fire spillage, flower washing, etc., if there is a fire in the village, the villagers will draw water from the pool to extinguish the fire. With the change of history, the original living water has become stagnant water, but the pond can still adjust the microclimate of the village and make it moist.

From the washing horse pond to the village entrance, there is a house built in the 1980s and 1990s on the side of the road, called Ying Yu Fang An Old Home. Crossing a paddy field, you can see the school building of Yinzhou Siming Vocational High School. In the past, it was the Yinxian No. 2 Junior High School, founded in 1952, and later served as the Yinxian Teaching Center of Ningbo Normal College and the Yinxian Communist Labor University (branch).

Honey Rock Village, according to legend, when Qin Shi Huang toured the east, there was an Imperial Ao, so it was named the Huang Ao Ancient Road. On the honey rock mountain in the south of the village, there is a stone chamber to hide the secret book of the gods and immortals, and the stone box is full of fairy honey, so it is called honey rock. According to the "Genealogy of the Ying Clan of the Honey Rock Xianjue", the ancestor of the Siming Honey Rock Ying Clan, the ancestor of the Tang Ming Prefecture Assassin Shi Ying Biao, the descendant of the HanSi Lieutenant Zhen Feng, the later 10th Sun Zhen Xuan, ju Yin Zhi Guang Xi, the 14th Sun Zhen Gao, the ancestor of the Honey Rock Kaishan, has been bred for more than 40 generations.
Miyan has been establishing an administrative village for more than 890 years, with an area of 1.5 square kilometers, and the vast majority of residents are Ying, with Zhu, Hong, Chen and other surnames.
In modern times, Honey Rock has been full of talents, including Xinhai volunteers and people of the Republic of China. Ying Guixin was the captain of Sun Yat-sen's guard and was awarded the rank of general; Shao Yiping was the head of the guard of the Democratic Government of Yinxian County during the War of Resistance Against Japan; and Ying Yizhi was the deputy division commander of the air force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. In addition, there are ying Qilin, the founder of "Hendry Watch", and others.
Miyan Village is also the red fortress of the Revolutionary Anti-Japanese Struggle led by the Communist Party of China. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, there was already an underground party organization of the CPC in Miyan Village, and the YINfeng County Office of the CPC was set up in the Zhujia Buddhist Hall. On May 1, 1945, the inaugural meeting of the YinXian Democratic Government presided over by County Governor Yan Shilun was held in the auditorium of Miyan Primary School.
Ōmotodo Ginkgo tree
Honey Rock geography, architecture, academy, religion, Confucianism, farming, food, folklore and other historical and cultural resources are rich, with more than 300 years of Zhejiang shell cultivation history, there are 48 hundreds of years old ginkgo trees. At the same time, intangible culture includes bamboo craftsmen's bamboo products, lacquer smith's gold and silver lacquer skills, silkworm weaving silk skills, and bron crafting skills; steamed honey light fish, snow leeches pickles winter shoot soup, toon sprouts and other well-known dishes are also famous.
In 2005, Miyan Village set up a historical and cultural village maintenance team, which is dedicated to the maintenance and repair of cultural relics and monuments, and established an operation mode and coordination mechanism for protecting and developing historical and cultural villages.
