On April 26, 1918, during World War I, a French soldier, Hubert Rochereau, was tragically wounded while fighting for the village of Lodge in Flanders.
The old uniforms were in tatters.
He was rescued by a British field ambulance, but unfortunately died of his injuries at the age of 21.
On the table were objects from before he joined the army.
His parents were devastated to learn of his death, but never knew where he was buried.
Photographs of him in uniform hang on the walls.
It was not until 1922 that his body was found in a British cemetery and transported back to the cemetery of Belabre, France.
Everything in the room was the same as it was then.
Since then, his parents have decided to turn the room into a permanent memorial, keeping it to the greatest extent possible what their son had been when he went to war.
The tattered uniforms record the passage of time.
After Hubert's bedroom was turned into a memorial, it was preserved for more than 100 years.
