The south, east and north sides of The Village are surrounded by towering Ma'anShan and the majestic Sanghuangling Mountains, respectively, only the west of the village is a valley mouth, and a winding mountain road is connected with the 021 Village Road, which is the only way out of the mountain in this small village.
According to the "Zhangqiu City Gazetteer" record: In the forty-third year of the Qianlong Dynasty (1778), some immigrants moved here to settle down, and saw that there was a stone cliff in the shape of a dove in the north of the village, so they took the name of the village grouper.
The stone peak wall is raised and majestic, which is the legendary grouper dove peak.
The actual village should be built more old. According to folklore, the name of the village was given by Jiang Taigong. It is said that as early as the last year of the Shang Dynasty, three families surnamed Han came here to cultivate land. At that time, the slope was full of red sorghum. Therefore, the name of the village was "Gaoliangyu". Later, there were more than a dozen families in this small village, but the harvest was not as good as before. One day, an old man with a crane hair and a childlike face came to this village, saw the people's sad faces, and went forward to ask the reason. After learning the reason, the old man looked around the valley with his beard for a moment and said, "This is the name of the village." Sorghum is the food of the oriole pigeons, so how can the name of this village not be threatened by the people of the village of oriole pigeons. It turned out that there was a village called "Pigeon Cliff" in the mountain pass, and the pigeons ate sorghum, resulting in a great reduction in the harvest of Gaoliangyu Village. People were busy asking if there was a way to crack it, only to see the old man staring at the cliff north of the village for a long time, and murmuring in his mouth: "Spotted doves and partridge pigeons can only compete, and Jiashi can strengthen the village." The village was renamed 'Grouper Dove' also. As soon as the words fell, I could only hear a loud "boom", but I saw that the cliff north of the village was broken, revealing a red-billed, clawed, and flying grouper dove. People were stunned, and when they woke up, they looked for the old man, who had long since disappeared without a trace. Later, I learned that this old man was Jiang Taigong, who visited everywhere to observe the people's feelings and encountered the above things. People learned that it was Jiang Taigong who changed the name of the village to "Grouper Dove", and no one dared to insult his village anymore, and the people lived a peaceful and happy life.
Looking at the Spotted Dove Peak up close, it is still relatively majestic. According to a big aunt in the village, the northwest side of the spotted dove peak originally had a boulder protruding from the cliff, just like a sharp bird's beak, but unfortunately it had collapsed and collapsed many years ago, and it was no longer visible that the grouper was like that year.
