In the third season, the male protagonist's father, Professor X, finally appeared in "The Swarm".
Fans had been looking forward to Charles Xavier's appearance on the series until the most recent episode, when Professor X finally appeared.
This version of Professor X is played by Harry Lloyd, the Sleeping Dragon Prince in Game of Thrones. The series shows Charles falling in love with Gabrielle, the mother of the horde, and his life as a soldier in World War II.
This version is a completely new interpretation of Professor X, but before that, the production team of the series had considered inviting Patrick Stewart to play the role.
Producer Noah Holly confirmed the news in an interview with the wrap and explained why another actor was eventually cast.
