Recently, on the way to Kaping Village, Sidazhai Township, Ziyun Autonomous County, this reporter saw a mobile diesel generator placed in the middle of the road, powering the point drilling rig operated by several workers, and drilling rows of gun holes on the rocks on the side of the road.
"Kaping Village is located in the rocky mountain area, most of the road sections should be released to break the stones, for the sake of safety, the cannon holes are drilled first, and then the cannons are released to break the stones." Wu Hongxue, director of Kaping Village, said that this rough road has been built for several years, and the road surface is narrow and curved, and vehicles cannot enter the village on rainy days.
"This road, on the one hand, connects Pingyang Village in Ziyun Monkey Farm Town, and on the other hand, it connects Xiban Village in Sidazhai Township, passing through multiple villager groups in Kaping Village; the total length of the road is 18.5 kilometers, the width is 6.5 meters, and it is an asphalt road." Wu Hongzhi, deputy township chief of Sidazhai Township, said that although this road has been repaired for several years, it has always been a rough road and cannot be opened to traffic on rainy days.
Wu Hongxue said that Kaping Village is the most remote village in the four villages, and the problem of transportation difficulties has always hindered the social and economic development of Kaping Village, and there are 10 villager groups in the village, 2148 people in 420 households in the village, and 934 people in 230 poor households.
"There are 3 groups of villagers in Kaping Village who have not even built the rough road." Wu Hongxue said that in order to "open up the last kilometer" and solve the problem of convenient travel for the masses, they will strive to open up this asphalt road connecting Pingyang Village in Monkey Farm Town next summer, and plan to achieve the goal of "grouping and connecting" the hardened road next year.
"Only when roads are built can we have better conditions for developing production." Wu Yingguo, secretary of the kaping village branch, said that there are 1,200 people in the village who are migrant workers, and while they have brought about a migrant economy, the increase in the number of left-behind elderly and left-behind children has brought a lot of pressure to the local government departments.
After solving the traffic problem, Wu Yingguo intends to lead the masses to develop a large number of fruit forest industries and ecological aquaculture. Use only rock mountain land to plant 1,500 mu of navel oranges, pears and other fruit forests, plant 1,000 mu of peppercorns; build a cattle farm with a stock of more than 200 heads, and breed more than 2,000 chickens under the forest, so as to drive the poor people out of poverty and become rich.
