Baby, you have to remember that your mother's surname is Zhao, and she died when she was twenty-three years old, when you were still in prison

In September 1925, Chen Jue and Zhao Yunxiao went to Moscow to study at Sun Yat-sen University, and because of their like-mindedness, they became revolutionary couples. In September 1927, Chen Jue and Zhao Yunxiao returned to the motherland and, under the leadership of the party organization, engaged in revolutionary activities in the northeast and Liling in Hunan. In the spring of 1928, Chen Jue was appointed as a special commissioner of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Zhao Yunxiao was transferred to the Hunan Provincial Party Committee to work and was appointed to participate in the formation of the Xiangnan Special Committee of the Communist Party of China. In September of that year, Zhao Yunxiao, who was pregnant, was arrested for sabotage of the CCP's Hunan Provincial Committee for informing traitors, and in October, Chen Jue was arrested in Changde while presiding over the CCP's Xiangxi Special Committee. Although both were imprisoned in the Changsha Army Prison, they were close to the end of the world and could not meet. The husband and wife were subjected to coercion and torture in prison, and they never gave in. On October 14, 1928, Chen Jue failed to see his child alive and was heroic and righteous, only 21 years old.

Just 4 days before the sacrifice, Chen Jue wrote a letter to his wife Zhao Yunxiao, which was full of revolutionary heroism and deep concern for his wife and children, infinite gratitude to his parents and sincere thoughts.

Chen Jue's letter to his beloved wife: If the eldest husband is unsuccessful, he will become a benevolent, and he will regret his death!

My Beloved Wife:

This is my last letter to you, I will be executed on the same day, you are pregnant, and you must not be too sad because of my death. Whether he gives birth to a boy or a daughter, my parents will come and raise him. My work and my clothes, you can choose some to keep for him as a souvenir.

Sooner or later, you will not be spared death, and I have asked my father to bury us together. Before we didn't believe in ghosts, now we only want ghosts. "In heaven wish for the bird of the wing, in the earth wish for the lotus, husband and wife love forever, the world to create a good relationship." I recall that when we were studying in the Soviet Union, we exchanged ideas with each other, encouraged each other, talked about trivia in our spare time, talked about sangma, skated or summer during the holidays, or traveled or traveled. And after returning to China last year, you passed by the door of the house and did not enter, and I went all the way south to work together. The help you have given me in my career and academics is greater than that of any teacher or any comrade, especially the year before I was terminally ill, and I will be a ghost of a foreign country, but thanks to your attentive care, day and night, I have to turn the crisis into safety. At that time, if he died, it could be said that it was lighter than Hong Mao, and now his death was heavier than Taishan.

When my father came to see me the day before yesterday, he was still trying to rescue us, and his sincerity was palpable, but we would rather crush the jade than the whole thing. My parents worked so hard for me to make us adults, especially my loving mother, who I had gone abroad without him or her. My sister often wrote to me that my mother shed tears every day to miss her beloved son in a foreign country, and I now regret that I did not go to see him (her) old man when I worked in my hometown, and now I am dead and alive. I was still alive when my father came the day before yesterday, and when he came the day, he could only see the body of his beloved son. I remembered the grief of my parents after I died, and I didn't feel tears anymore. cloud! Who has no parents, who has no children, who is heartless! It is precisely to save the parents, wives and children of the whole Chinese people that we have sacrificed everything. Although we are dead, our last will is fulfilled by our undead comrades. If the eldest husband does not succeed, he will become a benevolent, and he will regret his death!

Because Zhao Yunxiao was pregnant, her death sentence was postponed for 5 months. One day in February 1929, Zhao Yunxiao gave birth to his daughter, Qiming, in prison. On March 26, 1929, Zhao Yunxiao shed tears for his daughter for the last time, calmly walked out of the cell, and was executed at the age of 23.

Two days before the inauguration, Zhao Yunxiao left a letter to his daughter Qiming, telling her husband and his own reluctance to his daughter, and performing a touching family song.

Nearly a hundred years have passed, and we cannot see the fear of death of the two people in the two martyrs' suicide notes, but only the calmness of the Communists in the face of death and the confidence in the victory of the revolution. Although the heroes are gone, their spirit lives on!
