When I walked into The Ancient Town of Anfeng, it was like traveling through time and space, returning to the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In this ancient town, which is far away from the lights and wine, although it lacks luxury, but it is not comfortable, people have enjoyed this quiet and comfortable life for generations.
Anfeng Town was founded in the Tang Kaiyuan period (713 AD), located on the banks of the Fan Gong Causeway built by the Song Dynasty Xiang Xiang Fan Zhongyan, at the junction of the Lixia River and the coast. During the Ming Dynasty, one of the "Ten Fields in Huainan" salt works, due to the rapid development of the local salt industry, attracted merchants from all over the world.

Gunan Street is also known as Anfeng "Seven Mile Long Street", and the southern end of this street is relatively well preserved, with many old-fashioned houses. Among the houses, there are many old buildings with a history of more than 200 to 300 years.
Anfeng Ancient Town has also become the largest and best-preserved ancient residential complex in northern Jiangsu. Anfeng people are brilliant and talented, the most prestigious is the Ming Dynasty Yanmin philosopher Wang Geng, the Qing Dynasty cloth poet Wu Jiaji, their reputation spread far and wide, the influence at home and abroad.
Wu Jiaji Wu Family Ancestral Hall, Ge Xianglan Former Residence, Dongtao Sizhu in YuanJia Lane, Xianqing Ancient Well, Anfengchang Salt Division, Tang Boru Anti-tide Yansheng Nunnery, Carrying Salt Lane and other former residence attractions are scattered in the Ming and Qing Ancient Streets Nine Dam Thirteen Lanes.

The Bao's Building in Wangjia Lane, Anfeng Ancient Street, is a emblem-style ancient building that still stands majestically after a hundred years of wind and rain. The Bao's building is surrounded by high walls, with double internal and external wall doors, the external wall door is located in the east direction, and the door wall door is eastward, at a right angle to the external wall door.
Both halls are raised beam structures, with large materials, and the halls use moon beams. On the brick walls of the upper and lower compartments on the west side of the second entrance, there is a hidden door leading to the next flower hall. The original larger building on the west side of the flower hall has been destroyed. Three into eighteen rooms, the entire area of 414. 5 sq.m.
The decoration is exquisite, the brick carving and wood decoration are particularly exquisite, and there are obvious emblem-style architectural characteristics; it not only reflects the history of the local commodity economy in the late Qing Dynasty, but also gives people the enjoyment of beauty, which has important value. In 1995, it was announced as the fourth batch of cultural relics protection units in Jiangsu Province.
The main building of Ge Xianglan's former residence is a three main house facing north and south, named "Appreciation of the God Junzhai". The east room is a bedroom, an antique shelf bed, and a blue printed cloth mosquito net, reproducing the home scene in the early Republic of China.
The West Room is Mr. Ge Xianglan's study studio, which is mainly based on the large desk used before his death, with the four treasures of the study room, showing the past pattern of Mr. Ge Xianglan's paintings.
