　　2024年第10期发表了习近平总书记关于全面深化改革的重要文章。

　　An article by General Secretary Xi Jinping on deepening reform across the board was published in this year’s tenth issue of Qiushi Journal.

　　文章强调，改革开放是当代中国大踏步赶上时代的重要法宝，是决定中国式现代化成败的关键一招。党的十八届三中全会以来，全面深化改革取得历史性伟大成就。回顾这些年改革工作，我们提出的一系列创新理论、采取的一系列重大举措、取得的一系列重大突破，都是革命性的，开创了以改革开放推动党和国家各项事业取得历史性成就、发生历史性变革的新局面。

　　Noting that reform and opening up is a crucial move in deciding the future of Chinese modernization, the article states that since the Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee in 2013, historic and remarkable accomplishments have been made in comprehensively deepening reform. In this process, we have proposed innovative theories, launched major initiatives and made significant breakthroughs, which are of vital importance for making historic achievements and transformative progress in the undertakings of the Party and the country.

　　文章指出，实现新时代新征程的目标任务，要把全面深化改革作为推进中国式现代化的根本动力，作为稳大局、应变局、开新局的重要抓手。要谋划进一步全面深化改革重大举措，为推动高质量发展、推进中国式现代化持续注入强劲动力。

　　The article points out that in order to attain the objective of the new journey in the new era, it is necessary to make comprehensively deepening reform the fundamental driving force in advancing Chinese modernization as well as a rare opportunity for us to maintain stability, respond to changes, and open up new prospects. It is also imperative to leverage the role of deepening reform across the board in injecting powerful momentum into high-quality development and Chinese modernization.

　　突出问题导向，着力解决制约构建新发展格局和推动高质量发展的卡点堵点问题、发展环境和民生领域的痛点难点问题、有悖社会公平正义的焦点热点问题，有效防范化解重大风险，不断为经济社会发展增动力、添活力。

　　With a problem-oriented approach, the reforms should focus on removing bottlenecks that hinder forming a new development dynamic and constrain high-quality development, addressing problems concerning the development environment, people’s wellbeing, and social justice, and defusing major risks, so as to provide lasting momentum and vitality for economic and social development, the article says.

　　An article by Ju Li reviews the historic decision to establish diplomatic relations between China and France 60 years ago and reveals the profound historical implications of the Sino-French diplomatic ties and their relationship.

　　Jiang Hui, a member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, recounts Chongqing’s practical explorations of building itself into a city strong in culture in the new era under the guidance of Xi Jinping thought on culture.
