園林（garden and park）是指在一定地域内運用工程技術和藝術手段，通過因地制宜地改造地形、整治水系、栽種植物、營造建築和布置園路等方法創作而成的優美的遊憩境域。
園林學（landscape architecture，garden ar-chitecture）是指綜合運用生物科學技術、工程技術和美學理論來保護和合理利用自然環境資源，協調環境與人類經濟和社會發展，創造生态健全、景觀優美、具有文化内涵和可持續發展的人居環境的科學和藝術。
autocad是世界範圍内最早開發，也是使用者群最龐大的cad軟體。經過多年的發展，其功能不斷完善，現已覆寫機械、建築、服裝、電子、氣象、地理等各個學科，在全球建立了牢固的使用者網絡。目前，在計算機輔助園林設計領域，autocad是應用最廣泛的軟體，本書的寫作也正是基于這一點。
