Halfway through May, the introduction of the film war domestic theaters, Chinese films are silent!
This makes us all miss April a little, when the two domestic "Zhi Yu" Chinese films are all enjoyable:
One is the film that won the 54th Golden Horse Awards for Best Feature Film, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, "Blood Guanyin" directed by Yang Yazhe; the other is Xin Yukun's new work "Bursting into Silence".
Today, I want to focus on taiwan's best --
Blood Guanyin
"Blood Guanyin" is the biggest winner of the 54th Golden Horse Awards, which most fans remember,
Hui Yinghong was sealed with its Golden Horse Award; Wen Qi became the youngest winner in the history of the Golden Horse Awards with it; It also beat "Big Buddha Plus" and "Blind Date" to become the best picture.

However, just as many people disagreed that "The Shape of Water" won the Oscar for best, there are also many people who are dissatisfied with "Blood Guanyin" becoming the best of the Golden Horse Awards, for probably several reasons:
Plot, layout is chaotic (I don't think); The film is suspected of being mysterious and false, and the force is too strong; Strong in the outside, too many tricks, not advanced enough, and so on...
In my opinion, this kind of statement has a common "bottom sound" - not good enough.
This is an aversion to technical things, as if the "colorless, invisible, natural" is the high, and the "preference for Kit Kat, the intention is obvious" is the low level.
But in my opinion, whether it is high or low, the key still depends on a "degree".
What measures this "degree" is not a quantitative standard line, but whether it hinders the interpretation of the film.
The techniques or tricks in "Blood Guanyin", its yin and yang weirdness, and even the strange power chaos hinder the interpretation of the movie?
I don't think that although the whole film is indeed mysterious for a reason, and some of the camera settings are indeed deliberate, it does not hinder the expression of the film, but on the contrary, it sets off the obscurity of the story, the chaos of people's hearts, and the magical reality of the world.
The film borrows the mouths of two storytellers to tell the story of the three mothers and daughters of the Tang family.
Her mother, Lady Tang, was the widow of General Tang.
Graceful demeanor, seven tricks exquisite. Travel between celebrities in politics and the mall, party, save meals, and profit from business with a smiling face and a talking mouth.
The eldest daughter, Tang Ning, appears in the forbidden shot, a fiery scene of one person and two men.
She is exquisite in all aspects and has a prickly personality, on the one hand, she is tit-for-tat with her mother, her mouth is not sparing, and on the other hand, she assumes the responsibility of a social flower, dealing with the sudden trouble on the field for her mother, and coming forward to broker her mother's business.
The youngest daughter, Tang Zhen, is still in school, but she has already helped her mother bring tea and water, like an obedient baby.
She is good friends with Senator Lin's Qianjin Lin, but secretly likes Marco, Lin's boyfriend.
At the beginning of the movie, the three women of the Tang family look like the middle of the role of survival in the dark political and business circles, pleasing the wives of officials, taking care of the preferences of guests, and patting the horse's ass and saying auspicious words.
However, a Lin family door extermination case, as well as the land speculation case behind it, led to a bureau that connected the entire movie.
The person who set up this bureau was Lady Tang.
The series of cases in the film is inspired by some shady scenes in Taiwan's political circles in the 1990s, including the existence of "white gloves", which is also known as "human head", which is to do some dirty things for the boss behind the scenes, or dirty business, and let the bosses clean their hands and make dirty money.
The eldest daughter in the film, Tang Ning, is actually a "human head" of Lady Tang.
Some people may therefore go to see this movie with the mentality of watching social theme films, and feel that its intrigue for power is not deep enough, and the performance is not complicated enough, but in my opinion, the political and business struggle is only a background of the story, and "Blood Guanyin" is simply a strange love film with a "sub-silent" direction.
It tells the strange story of three women, and what you want to see through is the viciousness of the human heart.
(There are minor spoilers below)
The "yin fierceness" in "Blood Guanyin" exists in almost every character.
A faction of "man for fish meat, I for the knife trick" hunting relationship, the "yin damage" under the competition for interests as Zhang Assistant sang bluntly in the KTV:
"If you make money, you will spend it yourself, and if you get in the way, you will be caught and buried."
Among them, lady Yitang's viciousness is the most.
Almost everyone in the film is a pawn of Mrs. Tang, including her daughter. More than once in the film, it is implied that Mrs. Tang had let her daughter Tang Ning sell her body to make a profit for her, and Tang Ning was greatly stressed because of this, and she used wine every night to send a large number of sleeping pills to fall asleep.
In the film, Tang Ning's mouth is also borrowed, and a series of clues found by the police suggest that Lady Tang ordered someone to kill the Lin family.
Including ordering people to kill the killer to avoid the consequences.
And the most chilling thing is that she eventually blew up the boat that Tang Ning was riding in when she escaped, killing her own daughter.
The insidiousness of the film is that all the viciousness is hidden under the mask.
Madame Tang always had a smile on her face, appeared humble and low-key, gave gifts to bodhisattvas, painted and chanted daily, and at the moment when Tang Ning was killed, she recited the Sutra of Past Lives in front of the Buddha, and she shed a tear, which was really ironic and sad.
I have to admit that Hui Yinghong really acted well.
Of the three women in the Tang family, the most pitiful one was Tang Ning, who seemed frivolous at the beginning.
She was controlled by her mother all her life and had feelings for her mother and Tang Zhen, but she was rejected and abandoned by her mother and Tang Zhen, and seemed to live the most uninhibited, but in fact, she lived the most miserable.
Among the three women of the Tang family, the most regrettable is Tang Zhen.
Tang Ning is the result of being destroyed, and Tang Zhen is the process of being destroyed, in the film Tang Zhen in the chaotic life, Tang Zhen is taught by Lady Tang to become another Lady Tang, she is a broken good child, broken into the most terrible appearance.
At the end of "Blood Guanyin", none of the three women of the Tang family had good results.
It is the most symbolic embodiment of karma, Tang Ning got on the boat to freedom and eventually disappeared into flames; Tang Zhen's obsession with love finally ushered in the whole disillusionment with love, and Lady Tang was finally punished by the sin she taught with one hand- Tang Zhen.
Tang Zhen tore off her signature to give up active treatment, leaving her to live badly and die.
"Blood Guanyin" is a women's play, just as "Bursting Into Silence" is a man's play.
As the two darkest Chinese films that come in, the former shows the "yin fierceness" of women, and the latter is about the "poisonous spicy" of men, so I always feel that the two movies should be watched together, just talking about people's "yin and vicious".
Both films also have more obvious shortcomings.
They are also fond of metaphors and hints, and coincidentally, they have all been questioned for using too much force, or too deliberately.
I don't really like this kind of "depressing" movie that makes people feel oppressive, but I support them, because although they are not perfect movies, they are really good movies, they are watched again, you can't watch the whole movie, in other words, every time you watch it, there will be new discoveries.
And what they want to express may be too heavy, or too hard.
But your beating conscience under your hard listening, repression and oppression is the voice they want you to hear the most.
