Located in the northeast of Sicily, Milazzo is a quiet and relaxing Italian seaport city. The city is not big, and there are not even many famous attractions. When I came here, I had planned to rest for a night in the middle of this road trip around the island, but I met the gentle beaches, the warm Mediterranean sun, and the fragrant bikini style unexpectedly, which became a beautiful encounter on the journey to Sicily.
From the map, Milazzo's topography and geographical location are unique, the whole city is located on a narrow peninsula, extending into the Mediterranean Sea in the northeast corner of Sicily, the east and west sides of the city are close to the sea, and the people who live here are like the children of the legendary sea.
Milazzo is not the most famous tourist destination for the rest of Sicily, it is more like a busy harbor, and tourists only go to the nearby islands of Sicily, so it is rare to see hordes of tourists. However, with a 20-kilometre stretch of white sand beach, plenty of sunshine, clean waters and slow tides, it's undoubtedly the best place to sunbathe.
In terms of travel guides, there are very few introductions and recommendations for Milazzo. But its old town retains a strong Sicilian atmosphere, if you have time, you can stroll along the coastal "Via Paronmica" street or the small streets of the city center and slow down to feel its unique charm. If you want to experience the beachside leisure time of the locals, the White Sand Beach is the best place to go. The vast majority of people who come to the White Beach are locals, and the beach and water here are no less than the popular resort town of Cefalù. On the contrary, there are fewer noisy and bustling crowds, and it is quieter, and the lazy rest of the locals is evident.
At dusk in the afternoon, adults hold up umbrellas at the beach, talk about love, and blow the wind. The cute babies are playing on the beach, the warm air is filled with the cheerful and crisp laughter of children, and the harmonious and beautiful seaside leisure life is envied.
Since there are fewer tourists coming here, when I walked into the beach as an "uninvited guest" with a different face, I inevitably attracted the attention of the masses. But unexpectedly, the locals did not resist avoiding my camera, but instead took the initiative to come and say hello, and showed the brightest smile, asking me to take pictures of them. Such a "request to be photographed" is really very rare for me who has walked through many parts of the world. The enthusiasm of the locals once again doubled my liking for Sicily.
The beauties all put on their bikinis, the air was filled with a fragrant and sexy smell, and the girls seemed to show their posture in a small area, all sorry for the warm Mediterranean sunshine and the wonderful summer time.
The boys are also uniformly bare-chested, or swim in the sea, or sit around and chat, compared to other beaches with many middle-aged and elderly people, here is full of youthful vitality, it seems more enthusiastic.
The Milazzo people are undoubtedly a group of people who are blessed by God, and in their leisure time, they can enjoy the quality of sunshine and sea sand without leaving their homes, which is definitely comparable to any popular beach in Sicily. Come here, do nothing, just look at these relaxed, carefree people, happiness can be born.
If you are a walker who advocates freedom and pursues discovery, or you are a fun island controller, a trip to Sicily, you must come to Mirazzo, feel the non-popular beaches that only locals patronize, without the disturbance of tourists, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, here, you may be able to find the "poetry and far away" that you have always longed for in your heart.
